You'd think Percy would throw in a sentence on us in that article if Rohl was coming

Not necessarily….. the club has been speaking with his agent. And we have held a meeting with Rohl as far as I’m aware.

Could somebody please explain to me ... why Rohl is the right man for the job ? and what is on his CV to point to this ?

That sort of critical questioning has no place on this forum thank you very much.

I'm just hoping for a snippet today so I can work myself into a frenzy

Can we pin this so people stop asking. lol

So what you are basically saying is we are  going for a bloke who’s biggest achievement in domestic football is 12th in the championship 😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

In 1.5 seasons with a League One standard squad?

With a squad that was paper thin and barely League 1 standard!

It was a fantastic achievement from where they were and they played some cracking stuff.

Sometimes context is required, not every manager inherits a squad capable of finishing top at a canter

Context matters - not all 12th place finishes are the same. If he'd finished 12th with Burnley or Leeds then that would he an abject failure. He finished 12th with Wednesday, a mess of a club.

Rohl is only 36 he’s still a relative newbie in terms of being a manager , he has a high ceiling no doubt about that. It would be a gamble to go for him but I have no doubt it would work out he plays the type of football that we as fans will be on board with.

Everyone entitled to their own opinions and I obviously knew the love in would come back about Wednesdays squad etc - the harsh reality is that it’s an absolutely massive punt - I’m not convinced at all is my opinion - I’ll be very happy to be proved wrong gents - there are absolutely no excuses with the squad we have - none

Enzo was a massive punt and paid off.

Cooper was a known quantity for being very, very average and it turned out that way (at best).

Out of curiosity, who would you like to take over?

Yep Enzo was and it did - judgement or luck? Who knows

everyone apart from the board new cooper was a disaster- he hadn’t actually won anything anywhere either - forest finished 6th in the championship- a truly awful appointment in every way

my opinion only but for me dyche would have been a very solid choice for our current situation and he has won this league 3 times I think with way worse squads and resources than we have

Dyche isnt the right person for our current position at all, as for one, hes not managed in the championship in almost 10 years, the style of football he plays goes against what the club has been going for for the last 8+years, so hed be a square peg in round holes, hes good friends with Rudkin(massive red flag in terms of a working relationship)

and he hasnt won the league 3 times, its once

Won once, runner up (to us) once, both around 10 years ago. Pearson got us promoted as champs but he's never hit the same heights since. I like Dyche and have defended his record on here, but he comes with a lot of baggage around his perceived style of football and his promotion of youth - which is something we're going to have to rely on if we don't have a lot of money to spend.

I think they both represent a risk, but they both have their merits - I'd genuinely be fairly happy with either, though I think Rohl probably has a higher ceiling.

Well which is the biggest achievement is subjective isn’t it? I don’t think we should overlook him making fox_favourite want to bone him.
