Just as the club have been lax at selling certain players at the right time before they hang on, see their contracts out and leave for nothing, we now seem unable to pick out our own best young talent and give them a contract before they too leave for nothing also! Add that to the inability to find young players suitable loans for experience at a younger age to develop them and it's no wonder the club have financial troubles. If he can't see this Top must be a right thick pudding!

They can’t sign a contract until they’re 17, in Evans’ case that’s early next month.

Monga can’t go on loan cos he’s still at school.

Until we spend 15 million on a striker not as good.

Danny Ward needs replacing first. But we'd have a few mill left 💙

Which in essence is a good rule because it was leading to scenarios such as the Glazers on Manchester United.

there’s a lot of fault with PSR but this area isn’t bad. In fact the scenario woukd be worse because it would be a huge arms race where the state owned clubs would succeed

You wouldn't mind that if it we're a level playing field. But the way some of the big clubs move assets around to avoid the rules.

Why should we be penalised for spending 100 mil in improving our training facilities. That type of spending should be exempt from psr. Calculations .

Your first point is correct but your second point is not. Any work to do with your facilities is exempt from PSR calculation. Seagrave was exempt for example

Monga can leave school this summer - he’s currently in year 11

Have to be 17 to be loaned out so can’t happen next season

If Man City were interested for example, would it not just be as simple as bunging the family a huge amount of money and getting them to move house?

effectively yes but would need to be a bit more inventive than that!  (And they won’t be re inventing the wheel - it won’t be the first time)

12 mill would be insane business for a club like ours. Potential yes but we need hard reddies

We'd spend it on a bunch of dossers though. We simply have to be a youth focussed football club if we're going to move forward.

Thanks, I didn't know that Seagrave was exempt .

More reason why the stadium expansion being so delayed is confusing.

Looking at his Instagram this evening he may well be  Spurs fan so the links to them isn't ideal is it. FFS

The only way we keep him and Monga is how much they desire to be in a round the first team getting minutes.

Either of them go to a bigger club they disappear back into u21 football.

If he’s a local boy then it’s truly depressing that someone who has been around the academy for so long wouldn’t be an Lcfc fan.  The whole time he was deciding where his loyalties lay we were a PL club and in the period that mattered most we were a v decent PL club.

Come on now, a lot of us will have been influenced by family growing up. Sure where you're from is important, but if your mum or dad are taking you to your first game and they're Spurs fans, then that stuff sticks.

There may be some context but it’s still depressing.

Yep. It's definitely child abuse though.

From someone close to his family (although take with a pinch of salt), apparently he has rejected a deal from us and is looking at going elsewhere - Brighton in particular have made a decent offer.
