No fan of Leeds or Man Utd but a red card for hair pulling? Is the game really that soft now. All strikers to go bald to escape the clutches of defenders!

I think yesterdays was harsh... BUT... if someone is running at speed and they get their head yanked back, there's genuinely a chance for as much damage to be caused as there would be from a violent conduct challenge on legs, if not more.

The rule is extremely clear-cut. He knew what he was doing and Tierney (who overall had a good night) did the right thing. A violent example of the offense? No - but that doesn't really matter.

I never would have believed it but I think Spurs are in serious trouble, even with De Zerbi there. They're an absolute mess - a collection of odd socks and riddled with key injuries.

A hair pull is a clear yellow at least. I guess because it's a physical part of the body and not a shirt it has to be red.

Should be a one match ban though not a three match ban. It's hardly violent conduct unless someone is yanked back hard.

I have no problem with a straight red for hair pulling. Don't give me any of that "games gone soft" shit, let me flip that around for you - how much of a raging wuss do you have to be to need to pull someone's hair to get an edge?

Absolutely ****ing pathetic. We all love a monster tackle and a bit of physicality I get that. But who is out there getting excited by watching grown adults pull each other's hair? ****ing hell.

Iraola to leave Bournemouth in summer.

Big loss for them. Wonder who they can try and pull in.

Done a fantastic job to be fair. Dream of having a manager like him here.

Pretty sensible from Iraola really - stock his high so would back himself to pick up a decent job and probably feel it'll be hard to replicate success at Bournemouth.

Bournemouth that are one of the clubs that are one bad choice away from being right back down there so it'll be interesting who they go for.

Was always going to end up managing Bilbao. He's a Basque legend. Seems like a really good guy as well, and seems to be leaving on good terms.

I'm sure Bournemouth have been planning for this for a while, so will have a decent replacement lined up.

Tottenham fans on talksport last believing its conspiracy to get them down. Saying the decisions going against them to get them relegated. Like even man u player getting sent off against leeds. 😆

Yeah its conspiracy there playing crap, such an entitled lot. Havent forgot that caller claiming that spurs shouldnt be relegated even if they if finish in bottom three stated that top six clubs should be protected from going down... where to start with that one.

United, Liverpool and Chelsea would all be upgrading going for Iraola. Fair play if he goes to Bilbao though.

The basque country's rate of producing good managers is insane.

Frank?

Mourinho (he said in past the he wanted to return to the PL before retiring)?

Gary O'Neil (doing alright with Strasbourg and ex-Bournemouth boss)?

Eddie Howe might be available for a return ?

I'm not sure he'd go back at this time. He'll hold out for the England job if Tuchel goes after the world cup

Cannot see Jose wanting to go there and would be too expensive surely ?

They will probably want Howe particularly if he is out of a job but Tuchel is contracted to 2028 so won’t be going  yet unless the World Cup is a total disaster.

How we define a total disaster though? Imo a total disaster would be not reaching the semis. Has Tuchel set the expectations? Because so far all I hear is "we'll do our best" etc.

Yep that's exactly the side of the argument I come down on. People saying "can't even pull someone's hair nowadays" is hilarious lol

I've only just seen the decision.

I could understand frustration if his finger gets caught in Calvert-Lewin's man bun but he clearly reaches to give it a yank. No need and should be red carded IMO.

I guess going out in the last 16  or worse would be deemed a real failure as presumably the expectation will be to win the group then progress from there .

Arsenal should be going for him, as Arteta’s season looks as though it’s one defeat away to Man City from ending in massive disappointment.  At least the football would be easier on the eye.
