Well this was the nature of the sport until the modern times where they've messed up everything. Tackles will fly, clean tackles can also take out of the game players. It's part of the game.

Ref should have allowed play to continue as anorher Arsenal player got the ball after the incident in a decent scoring position.

To be fair to the ref he did give it 2/3 seconds and waited to see.

Been a great watch this game.

Nuno chucking Forest into the relegation zone? How utterly delicious. lol

Reckon he'd be delighted if that happens, particularly with how he got treated by their owner towards the end.

Entertaining game and the right result, we created so much more than Newcastle.

Great result. Looking at the fixtures at the start of the season it was a tough start but they've dug out results.

Not getting into any arguments about what decisions were right/deserved etc - that was a great game for the neutral. A few more like that please!

At what point do Newcastle outgrow Eddie Howe and get rid?

This season. Reckon he is sacked by the end of October or November latest if he doesn't start getting  more than 1ppg. Forest, brighton and fulham are their next 3. If they don't take 4 points minimum, I can see him being in very deep shit.

There's no way Howe will be sacked any time soon.

He's the man who ended Newcastle's decades-long trophy drought and took them to the Champions League twice.

As such, he's still seen as a Messiah by most of the geordie fanbase.

The owners will give him time to turn things around.

Man United under Amorim have won three league games against sides who weren't relegated, newly promoted or didn't have their keeper sent off. Steve Cooper has won back to back league games more recently than that club.

Didn't Liverpool turn him down because he wouldn't move from his ideals? They were clearly warned about this. The fact Maguire still plays is damning.
