Just dropping this on everyone’s radar! 
 

The players who’s contracts will expire at the end of our first season back in the Championship are:

 

Jakub Stolarkzyk

Ricardo Pereira

Conor Coady

James Justin

Boubakary Soumare

Patson Daka

Jordan Ayew

Will Alves

Few key decisions for the club to make on the likes of Jakub, JJ and Alves - either cash in or offer them contracts given they're needed in the championship. Trouble is that they'd be unlikely to take a 1 year extension so looking like 3yr deals or knowing our illustrious DoF, they'd have 5 year 50k deals lined up already. 

 

I'd keep Coady and Ricky P for the year and asses next summer. 

 

The rest I'd take an offer of a Mars Bar and can of coke and be gone from our club this summer.

Need to renew Stolarcyzk and Alves as a priority. If we get a good offer for JJ this summer I would take it, if not I’d offer an extension as long as his demands are reasonable.


I’d keep Coady and Riccy around this season. CC I would then let expire, Riccy decision would be down to how much he’s been available this coming season.

 

try and get rid of Soumare, Daka and Ayew now and if not at least we know they’re off the wage bill in a years time.

 

Shouldn’t Luke Thomas be on the list?

a good offer for anyone and we should take it.

 

Daka and Ayew are our only strikers so you have to keep one of them.  

Same with JJ and Ricky P, you need at least one. 
 

We need to get rid of at least 2 from Coady, Vesty and Faes. If Coady is the easiest to shift and for some reason a club will pay for Faes then so be it.

 

Soumane I suspect will go even if on loan to free up wages.  I suspect Ndiddi will go also.  Not sure about Hamza now

Think Stolarczyk has to be tied down this summer, Alves is until ‘28 so he’s fine, then I’d consider JJ as he is a good stable back up if we can find a new younger starter next summer when Ricardo goes

Will be nearly there,the next season should drain the swamp.Then it's just the boardroom,Rudkin etc.

Jakub Stolarkzyk- sign a new contract or we need to sell.

Ricardo Pereira- Keep, Hopefully signs a 1 year extension on the right terms.

Conor Coady- sell at any cost due to high contract.

James Justin- same as Coady.

Boubakary Soumare- throw him in a canal

Patson Daka- Same as Boubs

Jordan Ayew- If he wants to be around, keep. While limited, he has had an ok season and I think he would do well in the Championship if we have willing runners around him.

Will Alves- not out of contract, but I predict he probably isn’t as good as we thought he was.

Extend Jakub, Ricky and Alves.

 

Sell the rest in July.

I've hoped that for the past two summers. Daka is the Danny Ward of strikers and Soumare is the Danny Ward of midfielders.

 

People don't buy duds on massive wages and duds on massive wages don't take pay cuts.

We should be awarding new contracts to Stolarcyk and Alves as a matter of urgency, this summer. The rest, can go.

People still missing that Alves is under contract until 2028! Nelson is more urgent as he has 2 years left. If we can keep him at all, we should be extending him and Stolarcryk. Plus trying to hold onto the younger crop (Evans/Monga).

 

Alves extend next year when he has 2 years left if the season has shown promise.

Coady is on way too much money for our current financial predicament. I would say moving him should be one of our top priorities this summer.

The strongest evidence for him being the "good talker" he's regularly described as is that he's somehow convinced people he shouldn't be one of the first out of the door. I'm sure he's very nice and a top bloke to have around the place, but in his capacity as a footballer he has contributed almost nothing in his two seasons here and is on a frankly insane wage relative to his ability if reports are to be believed. Much as I'd love to see the back of them as well, at least Faes and Vestergaard are decent enough on the ball to be somewhat useful in a possession-based team if that's the route we're going down. Coady is essentially a cheerleader who excels only at pointing and shouting.

Alves is contract until 2028, so no rush.

 

Will still have two years left next summer.
