a meh apoointment (if true),.  What I can't understand if Top seriously is an advocate of possession based football you ain't getting that with Dyche.

I often think most managers have one place where their management style, the players they have, the transfers the club makes all just come together in harmony and it just works.

But for most managers it might only work like that once in their career - for example Pearson has been solid but never really created anything like he created here anywhere else.

I feel like Dyche had that at Burnley and I'm not sure he'll recreate it with his style. So I would prefer us to pick somebody btw and fresh and on the precipice of them having that moment.

This... and also further evidence that those in charge have no clue about the ethos of football they want the club to play. From Enzo, to Cooper, to Ruud then to Dyche shows no plan whatsoever. They really are hit and hope and living on past success, which legitimately can be questioned as to being based on luck, rather than sound football knowledge and well thought out plans.

thats what gets me with the Dyche link, I could see the logic in the Martin one, since its the same football idealogy/style the club has been going for since Puel,

it just feels incredibly scattergun, where they have no clear idea or pathway as you said,

Since when have we looked abroad ? now we don't have a pot to piss in you think we are going to look abroad ? let's at least be realistic

We should start to.
No doubt Dyche will be on a decent contract if he comes here.
There are better options abroad that we could get for less than paying out for Dyche.

If you're pro you're voting for this

Your future with Dyche assuming he can get us promoted is lower league stagnation or more relegation. I'd sooner take a risk and see some exciting attacking football occasionally hitting the high spots even if it means we continue to yoyo, that is more in the Leicester style. I'm not a fan of the 'Coventry' ( 25 years or so fighting against relegation) style stagnation in the lower half of the league.

Football has changed hugely since Cov were last in the PL though.

It's sadly, very sadly, got to the point where just being in the PL has its rewards.

I don't want to yo-yo. I want to be back in the PL with the opportunity to at least compete. I want stability with ambition. Dyche at least gives us a very decent go at getting promoted. He has a proven track record of taking Burnley up to the PL when they were favourites for relegation.

I was (and probably still am) up for Danny Rohl coming in and if we get promoted with exciting attacking football that's great. But what's next season? I'm not a fan of yo-yoing just because we're known for it. It's not the way to be.

Dyche is more in the Pearson-mould when it comes to a bit of a old-school leader. Probably someone that this group of players needs, and someone who can probably re-build in some way. Okay he might favour the older-style player, but is he likely to get the best out of them? Yes. I doubt he's just going to cast-off all youngsters for the sake of it.

I actually just do not care right now. I would just like to get away from passing it across the backline all game. Centrebacks touching the ball the most out of all the outfield players just doesnt sit right with me. I get what they are trying to do but it still doesnt change the fact its boring as hell.

I feel that if we keep the likes of Fatawu and Mavididi then we will always be a threat. Just give me a manager who will tell our goalkeeper its ok to kick the ball long.

Think he can sort out the entitled mentally at the club and will play more direct football.

My fear is whether he’ll trust youth.

overall I’d be fine with his appointment.

No! Create your own poll for those options only :D

Got to be pro as I can’t see anyone else wanting the job as the club is so poorly run. Management have been very poor to the last few managers not much activity in the transfer market as we are so broke.

I'm not anti-Dyche, if he comes in I'll support him, but not the best option available imo and it will be a stark reminder, if we needed any, of how far we have fallen.

Echo this, I don’t want him at all, but I’d still go to all the games and back him

I have a huge concern that the stability and getting the players organised et al is a bit of red herring.

That can not be doubted at Burnley but that was a squad he built. At Everton, his man management stifled players and it was absolute bear minimum performance from them to stay up over some really poor sides.

Anti. Nothing personal against him as I think he is a decent manager and gets a bad name based on style etc.

However, I might be falling into what I am suggesting above, perceptions basically, but I don’t think he is the right person to draw the best out of the youngsters we have coming through. Not to say he wouldn’t play them at all, I just don’t see him as the best fit.

And like others have said, I’m not keen on the idea he is close with Rudkin who it seems a unanimous view among the fans, isn’t fit to be in the role he is.

We have an academy starting to produce a conveyor belt of talent and people want a football dinosaur to coach them.

I bet Monga, Evan et al can't wait.

Our best assets are our young players Fatawu, Nelson, El Khannouss (If he's still here ), our focus should be on a manager who finds and develops youth.

People moan about us buying players Everton don't want but seem happy to pick up a manager they sacked.

Yep. I realise this is just a very quick straw poll so totally fair and just a bit of fun, but sadly everything has to be black and white these days.

I'm bang in the middle.

Surely there were youngsters at Burnley and Everton that he helped bring through?

Pro - Let's be honest we're an absolute mess right now and he's the right man for the task in hand.

Proven success in achieving promotion, and proven ability to keep poor teams in the PL.

Will it be pretty? Absolutely not, but we can address that downstream once we've got some stability.

One thing about a Dyche team is that they always give 100%. We've got more than enough talent and depth to be one of the favourites next season. The question mark would be around application. Under Dyche we'll get that, as he won't carry any passengers.

Pro Dyche. Would be a massive upgrade on Van Nistlerooy. I don't buy in to this anti youth business either. He gets the job done and ultimately has been a success at Burnley and Everton. I think he will play Monga and Nelson for sure. He would be a fool not to as they are going to rip it up in the Championship.

Take a risk on WHO though?

I'm not an expert who's out there to give us that but LCFC should have or should be capable of employing someone who does although that's Rudkin's job.

I am mixed on it but I went with pro.

I get the concerns about developing youth but I think he has always tailored his career to the situation he's in. I don't think he'll turn his nose up at young players simply because he did at Everton and Burnley. I think the remit here will be to rebuild the squad and I think he'll be forced to turn to youth because I don't see us buying our way out of the problem.

I'm very excited to see a mentality change at the club though. Too many prima donnas who think they own the place. A culture change is needed desperately IMO.

I do think that he could well turn out to be a new Puel or Pearson in that he lays the ground work for someone to come in and be very successful.
