Popular Post Mickyblueeyes Posted 11 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 11 August 2025 I don’t trust this scouting team with £30m. It’s pot luck. Fatawu, winks and Bilal, losing one is bad enough. Losing 2 of 3 ends our season. 4 1
Edingleyfox Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Newcastle have struggled to get anyone in despite Champion league football so I can see them paying the figure that the club wants. The big worry is whether that money will be made available for transfers. Bilal is the only player that we brought in last term that you could sell at any sort of a profit so it worries me whether the club has done the homework needed to spend it wisely in the right areas

If we want to go up this season, you need to keep all 3.
JimJams Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 (edited) If Fatawu goes at any price the club can well and truly get fxxked. Predictive text wanted to change the word price to poo rice. And I tell you now there's no amount of poo rice in the world that would make me wanna sell Fatawu. Edited 11 August 2025 by JimJams

Yep. Would also suggest our financial situation is even more dire than we thought.
Jakemoore Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 I’m not convinced Newcastle will pay £30m if that is the figure. I would like to say that if there have been enquiries Marti shouldn’t be picking him. But he probably doesn’t know because Rudkin won’t tell him because he’s a cock.

If they want him I think they just try to get it done before it goes tits up like previous deals. They'll be anticipating a 150mill windfall burning a hole...

Fatawu, Winks, Hermansen and Mavididi - yes, get you. add to the loans, Akgun, Casadei and Doyle. Coady and Cannon not great for us but Cannon got us some money back. By far their best window here. And their rubbish windows Souttar, Tete, Khristiansen and last season have been PL. there were rumours that Hermansen, Akgun and Casadei were Enzo led but you could be right. Still difficult to trust them due to the limitation. Bilal was mentioned by the Leuven DOF if I remember rightly.

Since Glover joined in September he's had 2 summer window and two winter window. He's done OK.
ronnup Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 He doesn't get into the Newcastle midfield, and hes not a winger. He's bench warming for them. Leeds more likely 1
Number 6 Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Be surprised if someone was willing to stump up £30m for him. If we could make some smart moves in the loan market then it wouldn't be a bad deal for us, though we lose a huge amount of creativity. Obviously irrelevant on the pros and cons if it's a release clause of course.
STUHILL Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Be surprised if anyone pays a £30m + release clause for him. He likely wouldn't get into the starting line-up of any Premier League clubs apart from the 3 promoted. We rate him highly, but he has only shown glimpses of his potential so far. A year in the Championship playing 1-2 times a week, would do him a world of good. Suspect the Newcastle link is his agent trying to push Leeds or another club to make a move. Hope he stays. 2

Poor sum - 23 (overall Success) Jan -24 (no spending) sum - 24 (poor overall) jan - 25 (woyo) I think that’s being kind to say he has done ok when we’ve had poor windows in two of 5 where money has been spent. (Was he here for Faes?) 2 others where money hasn’t been spent. If it’s manager led when bad, it can’t be scout led when it’s good. But fine, if he does go, a further window to build that trust. At the moment due to the inconsistency it’s got to make anyone nervous when we do sell.

Edouard Zaha nearly signing for about 12m loan For every good signing there is probably 2 bad.

Ted Maul Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Have I missed something, why is there so much talk about Abdul going?

lcfc_forever Posted 11 August 2025 Author Posted 11 August 2025 Now even Sacha Tavolieri who first broke the clause and Bilal's signing is saying £29m so what he and others wrote before about the release clause being in the low-to-mid 20s is incorrect.
