Obviously would rather he stay but glad he's now being linked with Palace and Newcastle. Far too good for Leeds and Sunderland.

Think he would do well at Palace, likely he comes straight back down with Leeds would be suprised if he went there

Newcastle are buying Jacob Ramsey, so he won't be going there.

I think the Newcastle rumour was put out there by his agent, to try push Leeds or whoever else to make an offer.

He isn't good enough (yet) for Newcastle. Hope he stays one more season with us

maybe being dramatic - but I feel the outcome of BEK saga could have significant ramifications for our season.

No team in the champ has a player i’d swap Bilal for - could be the difference for us.

Ben Jacobs said Villa were amenable because of PSR.

Agreed, but I think his release clause may be a little high for most teams to genuinely consider him at the moment. We know his potential, but he is still raw and a season in the Championship would do him a world of good. Just depends late in the window, if a lower Prem team loses out on some other options and so decide to take a bit of a punt on him and his potential. I think it could really mess with our season, and we would need to get very fortunate with a player or two that we bring in to cover that creativity loss. Hope he stays but does seem like it is 50-50 right now.

If we really want to get back with the big boys , he MUST stay , there’s plenty of other dead wood we can off load to make up his price .

Thing was he’s not gonna start for Newcastle so would be shit for his career.

Two most likely options are premier league established Crystal Palace or he stays with us

Strong talk of Eze going to Spurs which would probably mean Palace go for Bilal.

Good moves for everyone apart from LCFC

im actually quite concerned we even gave them a valuation, instead of rejecting it out of hand…  “ Nor for sale”.

Every player has a price. Not sure I would want to turn down £50m for Fatawu if it came to it (it won't).

Well they’d better get a move on if the rumours of the 15 August expiry on BEK’s release clause are true as the price is likely to rise sharply after this Friday.

Well we keep hearing that his release clause ends this week and it's Wednesday now, so signs are looking promising, as I doubt Eze or whichever domino needs to fall will happen this week.

No doubt we'll end up selling him for less than his release clause on deadline day.

Where did we get that his release clause ends this week? Reputable?

If true, can see it being a Fatuwa situation, with us pricing him out of a move with us factoring in his potential and importance to us, with any valuation to clubs.

financially we would benefit more if we got promoted and got the prem money coming in.. plus his value would go up.

John Percy's recent article says it ends this week

What about the alternative. Clubs unwilling to meet the release clause but offer below the release clause after its expiry date. BEK agitates for a move, the club need the money to meet financial constraints, he leaves before the window closes. This is also a possibility.

Wonder if we'd stand any chance of getting Sverre Nypan on loan for the season? He's already better than Championship class IMO, but not sure he'd get guaranteed football in the Prem as he would with us if El Khannouss went. Could be the perfect link up. Although no doubt ends up on loan at Girona.

TBF though, Percy also named Newcastle as being interested and thats looking more and more like a tactic to get the Jacob Ramsey move done.

Percy passes on what he hears but what he hears may sometimes have alterior motives behind it from the person he heard it from.

Palace won’t move for Bilal unless Eze goes or they are confident of him actually going, so as there aren’t any solid rumours of negotiations with Spurs or whoever else Bilal wont be sold prior to Friday and if that really is a deadline date then I expect he’ll cost more than most will want to pay.

I think we will have him for the season.
