Alex crook reported just before that he didn't expect either to hit the amount needed for Eze.

“In the coming days.” Other clubs are working to their own timetables with two weeks of the transfer window left - Spurs won’t care less that BEK’s release clause expires tomorrow. As things stand I’ll be very surprised if any club activates it, which will mean he either stays or we sell him for a higher price.

The point of a release clause that expires 2 weeks before the window closes, is to ensure he either goes with enough time for a replacement (at a price we've set) or the later he leaves, the more we get paid, to compensate for less time to replace.

well said

gonna say, i thought it was pretty obvious that the club want a certain amount for BEK and that runs out in what 13hrs i guess

and if someone wants BEK after tomorrow it will probably be alot more than the release clause, but i guess they could pay it in a different structure, where compared to the release clause theyd need to pay all if not most in one go

Played about ten minutes?

And did nothing against league 1 oppo - apart from miss from 12 yards of course - I’m not saying he is a bad player I’m simply saying not a chance in hell is he worth 30m

Maybe not, but talking about his "showing" i.e. ten minutes off the bench for the reserves like it's going to drive his price down or put potential suitors off doesn't make a great deal of sense I don't think

He’s still raw, not technique wise, but positionally.

He’s fantastic on the ball, has brilliant technique, but he just doesn’t get on the ball enough in positions to really affect the play and hurt the opposition. He has always drifted wide under all 3 managers and from clips did the same at Genk.

Players like him need the knack of finding pockets of space in front of the back four on the half turn and he very rarely manages that. You can learn that though, and the team also has a responsibility to drag men away from him to free him up. We don’t as we’re very static at the moment.

All in all he’s not worth 28 million yet. He’s not and his numbers aren’t. We paid around 19 million, letting him go for anything less would be pointless as our profit margin would be close to selling JJ for 7 mill pure profit and the savings on his larger wages and we’d all rather that.

I think we get another season from him here

Our most creative player by a mile but lacks composure in front of goal. Should've scored against Wednesday, and the less said about last night's penalty the better. There's still hope he can develop that part of his game, but it'll probably be his next club that will reap the benefits.

yes because he is miles ahead of Soumare and Skipp, rather have a sulking winks playing good football than the aforementioned

Rather have a kid out of the academy than someone who has made it plainly obvious he doesn’t want to play for us.The sooner he has gone the better, sick of the attitude of these Prima  Donna’s

I completely agree, but realistically he isn't going to start Alves/Page. Therefore Winks over Soumare and Skipp

If Palace bid it is going to have to happen very quickly now.

Nothing could have been in place, as we wouldn't have played him yesterday.

Also significant that he is now cup-tied for the Carabao. No imminent new club would want that, unless he's going abroad

I think he’s staying. Of all the games to leave him out for, yesterday would have been an easy one.  The risk for player and club was too big as I’m sure we’d be very happy to scoop north of 30m from the clause.

Can’t see anyone paying that money based on his output, he just hasnt quite done enough to warrant that imo

Nope - I’m including the 39 so far from last season and Sunday as well - not worry 30m in my opinion- maybe he is in yours 👍

Hes worth what a club is prepared to pay for him. If they arent prepared to pay the money then he wont be going anywhere. Id rather we have El Khannous in our side then not if we’re serious about promotion this year, that is for sure

Honestly I'd be disappointed with Bilal as an Eze replacement if I was Palace.

I would but also, I wouldn't.

Palace fans will have to accept they can't just guarantee another Eze and that they'll have to nurture a new one.

Bilal has every bit of talent needed to be as successful as Eze. He's had an alright season without getting the numbers in the Premier League but if he had a full season in the EFL i'm sure he'd shag this league rotten.

A bit like KDH. Something like 2 goals, 1 assist in the season we went down then became the main man and showed what he can do at this level.

So yeah, while he looks underwhelming at the moment I can't help but feel like any club getting him for less than £25m will consider it a bargain in a year or two's time.

Essential we keep him and Fatawu until at least Jan window just for creativity. Sell Okoli and Winks for the funds and loan out Faes/Soumare/Kristiansen for the season if can. CB, CM, Striker in.

no way the club sell either BEK or Fatawu in the same window/season, only BEK will go
