We’re in a stronger position on this negotiation than many think. We know Palace have just received £60m for Eze and BEK clause has expired. But I think BEK is a difficult one to value tbh, and will be interesting to see what we get for him if we do sell him.

We're in a strong position because I don't think we're actively looking to sell him — we're just open to offers. There's no reason for us to accept less than our valuation.

We obviously have a minimum limit and them a maximum, be interesting to see  where this lands.

I agree with you to a point however another way to mitigate the shortfall of a lower sale price would be to sell a few assets and not reinvest.

however I think currently this is more a case of the club pressing the reset button and almost starting again in a desperate attempt to get control of a business that’s running costs have been allowed to spiral  out of control.

Be nice for them to maybe let us know what the bloody plan is

The money for McAteer surely puts us in the position of pay up big for Bilal or fvck off

Let’s just hope Bilal don’t kick up a fuss over it.

Personally hope we just take 30m with add ons and crack on

Wonder if we would be interested in Rak-Sakyi again now we’re back in the champ and they’re rumoured to be open to selling.. Wouldn’t surprise me if Palace tried to include him in a deal for Bilal.

If the McAteer deal goes through, like others have said it puts us in a strong position re negotiating a price for BEK. What we need to be really careful of though is verbally agreeing a load of offers for him over the next 9 days, but getting nothing over the line, and then having a pissed off player underperforming for the rest of the season.

You’ve got to wonder what state we are really in though.

Have other clubs that are losing £90m a year while receiving parachute payments and have much more in loans to a bank been sold? I know the loses last year were lower but that’s because we could sell a couple of players.

The points deductions for this year and next are baked in(probably for next) regardless of what anyone else does which makes the likelihood of becoming sustainable even less likely.

In my opinion, you buy us and you are committing to losing a hell of a lot of money, possibly more than any other club in the 92 in the short and medium term and that will be a huge put off.

Are we currently losing £90m a year?

Are we receiving a points deduction next year?

When did these become 'facts'?

Good shout but only if we keep Abdul also, and only a loan with “option” to buy - the italian way

One of them was caveated with a probably in brackets, the other has happened. Are we currently? Probably not, but we have huge loans outstanding and a future that doesn’t currently point to a strategy to repay them.

I think palace will move on to another target. Parish isn’t one to crack. I imagine his conversations with Rudkin are like Uncle Colm off Derry Girls…..

That's a superb reference lol

Whether part of the Bilal deal or not we should be after him

Did well at Sheff Utd last season and can play both wings

Mavididi, Monga, Fatawu, and Rak-Sakyi is a brilliant set of wingers for the Championship

The problem is how they get the ball lol

Werent particulary great for Sheff. Dont think we need a winger either? Rather give Wanya or Silko Thomas a chance

Exactly why we'll sack that off and spend the money on a big, bumper contract for Andros "Premier League Experience" Townsend instead, to link up with his pal Jordan Ayew.

I think Mavididi, Monga, Fatawu and Ayew is perfectly fine for the Championship. We need to be buying first team players, not 4th choice wingers.

A striker is imperative.

I don’t rate Ayew as a winger for us at all, even in the Championship

Exactly because otherwise Ayew might get the nod again and him front was disastrous at Preston. We played most of the game with no presence up front.

He's fine as 4th choice.

7 goals and 2 assists in 19.2 90s is pretty decent

This idea does need to be parked…. Clubbing worse states than us have been purchased before.

Regardless of what state we’re in, it would be small fry for someone with the financial clouds of half of what the Newcastle owners have. I don’t think we’re up for sale, but if we were we would have plenty of interested parties.

not at the price he would want, we wouldn’t.

and in some ways it doesn’t matter what financial state the club is in, what matters is the amount of money the owner has invested into the club and wether they’d be willing to accept such a substantial loss when selling.  and I don’t believe Top would, in our case.

Is it? Ayew scored 5 in 18 90s in the Premier League.

I personally don’t think he is fine as any choice as a winger

or striker

Should be 2nd / 3rd choice 10/support striker and that is it
