DJW1 Posted 25 August 2025 Posted 25 August 2025 Perhaps Palace will pull the same trick they did a few years ago, according to their then-chairman. They agreed a deal with the player and other club but had just missed the end-of-window dealine. So Palace (and presumably the other club) re-set the time on the fax machine, sent the paperwork and hey presto, deal done!

Pita Posted 25 August 2025 Posted 25 August 2025 Palace just trying to knock down the price. By leaving it until the end of the week. Let’s hope Rudkins phone packs up

CUJimmy Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Palace were probably trying to run down the clock in the hope of getting him on the cheap last minute because we desperately needed the cash. I can’t see that this is the case now so unless it’s a big offer he stays. Give them Ayew back instead and DCR on a BOGOF deal (in every sense).
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Bilal's mum getting ready for one last week of messaging every club in association football and every "ITK" on twitter 2
AKCJ Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Does feel like nobody is really that interested in him for the price we want. I can see him staying but not being involved on Friday.
ithuriel Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 If theres no move it might take a few weeks for him to sort his head out.

After Friday it’s then an International break, so we’re not back in action until 13-Sept against Oxford anyway. So gives him a couple of weeks to get his head right.

Shouldn't need a few weeks to sort his head out. He's a highly paid professional footballer. Get on with it. If he is still with us on Friday then he's contracted to turn up to work. No excuses. 7 1

And hopefully he will be able to see that the manager was willing to take him out of the spotlight rather than hanging him out to dry. Expect him to get back to his best pretty quickly. 2

Bluearmyfox28 Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 (edited) Now things get interesting with regards to how much our incomings were dependent on Bilal’s sale. Edited 26 August 2025 by Bluearmyfox28

Clearly don’t rate BEK that highly as they think they can screw us to simply make a couple of a million profit on a highly rated player. 2

We might have budgeted for losing Bilal, but I'd be surprised if we'd budgeted for losing mcateer, Coady, Justin and possibly VK. If so I reckon we'd be up on budget and certainly in terms of wages.
jonny_wright Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 If Bilal stays, and we move on Faes, kristensen and maybe Okoli for £30m in total - I think it’s a result 2
stu Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Completely different players, in comparing Pino and El Khannouss. Although Pino is comparable to Eze. Makes its strange why they would be interested in him at Bilal at all, unless it was as well as Pino. Although they aren't going to be spending £40m + on Pino and then meeting our demands for Bilal either. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
JimJams Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 I thought Pino was supposed to have already shit on the idea? Guess not!
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 He will likely still go somewhere for £25m + add ons. 1
