Perhaps Palace will pull the same trick they did a few years ago, according to their then-chairman.

They agreed a deal with the player and other club but had just missed the end-of-window dealine. So Palace (and presumably the other club) re-set the time on the fax machine, sent the paperwork and hey presto, deal done!

Palace just trying to knock down the price. By leaving it until the end of the week. Let’s hope Rudkins phone packs up

Neh redsox calculations definitely seem more legit than what you've cobbled together.

I’m with redsox on that one,  it was defo around 50?

Palace were probably trying to run down the clock in the hope of getting him on the cheap last minute because we desperately needed the cash.  I can’t see that this is the case now so unless it’s a big offer he stays.

Give them Ayew back instead and DCR on a BOGOF deal (in every sense).

Does feel like nobody is really that interested in him for the price we want.

I can see him staying but not being involved on Friday.

If theres no move it might take a  few weeks for  him to sort his  head out.

After Friday it’s then an International break, so we’re not back in action until 13-Sept against Oxford anyway. So gives him a couple of weeks to get his head right.

Shouldn't need a few weeks to sort his head out. He's a highly paid professional footballer. Get on with it. If he is still with us on Friday then he's contracted to turn up to work. No excuses.

And hopefully he will be able to see that the manager was willing to take him out of the spotlight rather than hanging him out to dry. Expect him to get back to his best pretty quickly.

So they will spend the money if they see the player has a good alternative.

Clearly don’t rate BEK that highly as they think they can screw us to simply make a couple of a million profit on a highly rated player.

Now things get interesting with regards to how much our incomings were dependent on Bilal’s sale.

We might have budgeted for losing Bilal, but I'd be surprised if we'd budgeted for losing mcateer, Coady, Justin and possibly VK.  If so I reckon we'd be up on budget and certainly in terms of wages.

Completely different players, in comparing Pino and El Khannouss. Although Pino is comparable to Eze.

Makes its strange why they would be interested in him at Bilal at all, unless it was as well as Pino.

Although they aren't going to be spending £40m + on Pino and then meeting our demands for Bilal either.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
