Just a heads up in case anyone missed this.

All opening EFL games live on Sky including Saturday 3pm kick-offs.

Sky Sports will broadcast every match from the opening rounds of the Championship, League One and League Two live next season, with most kicking off at 3pm on Saturday. The EFL starts a fortnight before the Premier League so the blackout at that time is not in place.

The EFL has introduced a split start, with League One and Two kicking off on 1 August and the Championship seven days later.

On the second weekend five games from League One and League Two will be televised. The Premier League kicks off on 15 August with Bournemouth’s visit to the champions, Liverpool, which will be live on Sky.

The EFL fixtures will be announced on Thursday at midday BST, with TV details for the first six rounds to be confirmed by 3 July. In an attempt to help fans make plans, TV games and fixture changes until the FA Cup third round in January will be confirmed before the season, with picks for the second half of the season announced in November.

The two-week window of TV coverage will give the EFL greater exposure before a season that brings a new and expanded domestic TV deal for the Premier League. Under the terms of that contract, Sky Sports is increasing its Premier League live offering from 128 to 215 matches and 52 fixtures will be shown exclusively by TNT Sports.

All non-3pm Saturday Premier League games will be televised live for the first time, with up to seven matches available each weekend. SkySports will broadcast multiple 2pm Sunday matches, which will often feature clubs participating in the Europa League and Conference League.

Showing all the league's games in a gameweek is a start, I suppose, but generally, what they offer is still nowhere near enough for what you pay and doesn't reflect viewing habits in 2025  - ie.  people generally have a favourite team they want to see every game.

As such, their offering is still going to drive punters into the arms of the streamers.

And that's before you get into the biased, braindead pundits who haven't done their homework, the shouty screamy commentators, the fetishisation of the big 6 in the Premier and the collective amnesia regarding the oil-money and dictator-money.

You have to remember a lot of the games will be the single camera stuff from last time we were in the Championship

Or even worse, available on Foxes Player or whatever it's called.

52 fixtures on TNT makes it more so. It was better for fans when Sky had a monopoly of TV games until  the EU said that was uncompetitive.

Nah, just makes more room for Wrexham and I guarantee Tom Brady's Birmingham and Frank Lampard's Cov will be the apple of David Prutton's eye too this season.

KPFC vs. Arsehole of Nowhere FC, 3pm on a Saturday. One of 12 televised games with an average viewership of about 2,000 people and somehow they'll STILL find a way to talk about Liverpool and Manchester United for an hour.

But David Prutton and Jobi McAnuff as well, who are miles ahead of any of the hosts/pundits they have on their prem coverage
