At least he's trying to do the right thing. It wasn't wise the last one but as it's Abdul and I'll let him off

GTF sold me an x reg fiesta for 250 quid. He's got no idea if Fatawu will stay or not but in his words he "liked the balls of this kid" and would do his best to convince him via Twitter. Fair play.

No idea how he's getting home, he just sort of wandered off into some trees.

Abdul has some traits that are extremely rare even at the top of the game. Very few players can be having a stinker, where nothings coming off and then just randomly pull off something that perfect.

He doesn’t seem to lose confidence even on a bad day. Proper player

This is his third year at the club.

Must get him to sign an extension soon before we get into any tricky contract extension talks later when his stock would have risen and offers come in.

Lock him in for more flexibility - retain or sell at higher value.

Rudkin - short term as always - may only focus on his current wage bill and lose the big picture, as he did since a few years ago starting with the Tielemans saga where he finally walked for free and which started the club’s financial free fall.

His loan year isn't part of the contract. We've literally had him under contract for a little over a year.

That Charlton manager seemed confident Fatawu is gone within a week. Could have been just bluster to cover up a defeat, or could it be those in the game know what transfers are about to take place?

Plays like a man possessed, definitely wants to prove himself and make up for the "lost" past season.

Hope he stays. He also needs support up front from a reliable striker (which we don't have right now) and an apt attacking midfielder, to ease the pressure.

We should hold on El Khannouss – or else get in a replacement asap.

Hes a decent player but my concern would be is that the only 'move' he's got. Spent the whole game firmly in the back pocket of their left back until he pulled off his signature cut inside and curl it shot. Hes also very greedy looking for this wonder opportunity, he could have played the young lad Page in many times. Like their manager said its a '1 in a million' goal (wouldn't quite agree with those sour grapes but i understand what he means. Maybe 1 in 10 more likely)  i think fullbacks are going to quickly find him out.  Lets face it without that 1 in 10 wonder goal yesterday we would all be moaning that he had an absolute stinker yesterday.

He's going to look ineffective a lot this season, as will both our wingers when the opposition doublemark them both when in possession. As we've got fk all upfront, and not much threat in midfield, and not much in the flanks. If I was the opposition I'd take notes from our previous opposition. As much as we've got quality in those areas, we're not able to fully utilise those strengths and won't until we've got actual threats elsewhere on the pitch.

Double marking a player creates space for someone else. A good manager will exploit that, so we will see.

He wasn’t found out last time in the championship - he finished strongly. Goals were what he was lacking, if he even ticks over at 1 in 4 with his creativity he’ll have a fantastic season.

We had a manager with structure, tactics and a way to motivate players, now we have a donkey sanctuary
