From what I’ve seen a couple of premier league managers were earning around £1m per year.

Once we have a new man inplace it will be interesting to see what we do in the market. I wonder if the intention is to keep hold of our assets, like El Khannouss and Hermansen, boost the squad with the likes of Nelson, Alves and Monga. Only buy if we can move on some dead wood. Ideally, for me, we sell Hermansen to fund signings, topped up by a few bob for Faes, Soumare, etc etc? I might even look forward to a new season if we keep Bilal and have a promising manager keen to work with our academy graduates. 3

Guest Bilo Posted 9 July 2025 Posted 9 July 2025 We need to shift more than we bring in. There are some crap players on very big money, such as Faes and Soumare, who can and should easily be replaced by either academy products (Nelson is the obvious one for Faes) as well as utilising the bargain-laden Nordic market that Cifuentes is so familiar with.
moore_94 Posted 9 July 2025 Posted 9 July 2025 From 2 years ago but Rooney was apparently one of the highest paid on £1.5m / £29k a week https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/wayne-rooney-birmingham-city-salary-31175059?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target 1
splinterdream Posted 9 July 2025 Posted 9 July 2025 You'd think we would be an attractive prospect for some PL loans 4

Ricey Posted 9 July 2025 Posted 9 July 2025 They will have only taken down the betting overnight, because as there’s a clear front runner and in case something leaks tonight or early morning.
BKLFox Posted 9 July 2025 Posted 9 July 2025 Still, McKenna & Lampard will be on more than 20k surely & google tells me Carrick was on 30k

Tbh I find this a positive, we need to get back to people wanting to come here because they want to be here rather than collecting a nice pay check. Also positive from a PSR perspective, now just got to get Rudkin agreeing on transfer fee’s. 1
