Impatience 🤣🤣

Are you saying you think we work at the same speed as all other football clubs ?

Where have I said that?

What I would definitely say...in the context of everything surrounding the club at the moment , taking a little more time ,due diligence and caution are more preferable than rushing into Cooper or RVN scenarios

He'd hardly go unrecognised and it could cause a chaotic distracting situation by fans and media, surely much better to have a controlled official announcement if he's there at all.

Personally I think it'll be announced before today's 3.00 pm kick off maybe 10.00 or 11.00 .

The funny part is the dramas, each to their own though

I think it will be this morning and he will observe today’s game from the balcony of the training centre whilst the clubs media constantly reference he is here and watching the game, plus Top will be all over this game as it’s KP’s clubs so the opportunity for him to be right left and centre with his manager showing him the world class training facilities will be all over our social media today.

Top is today's referee making it all about him

Similar to how we did when announcing BC.GAME as our sponsor.

If it's not announced at 11am it's starting to be too late to do it today I doubt they want their big action to clash too closely to the OHL match.

Of course, the delay in an announcement, is more likely due to us still finalising a deal with QPR for Calm. I'm sure MC would have been done and dusted at the beginning of the week, but we might still have been haggling for his Assistant. Hopefully, that is pretty much sorted now and there'll be a joint announcement this weekend, before jetting off on the Training Camp.

Perhaps delayed by the negotiations for Xavi Calm. Or QPR being awkward about the compo. Who knows.

:dunno:

That's my take on it. QPR were quite keen to keep Calm (!), but there wasn't really a position for him - their new Head Coach, brought in his own Assistant. I am confident Cifuentes & Calm will be announced together, but whether its today, is another matter.

Reckon it'll be tomorrow, media team are busy today and I seriously doubt we'll see Cifuentes there - likewise doubt he's had a conversation with Andy King regarding formation / in and out of possession play. Massively wasted opportunity as per usual.

Tomorrow morning with "Cifuentes Will meet up with the boys in wherever it is they're flying to this time for whatever reason"

I think, after the match this afternoon, Andy King will pull off his mask to reveal it was Marti Cifuentes all along.

Heard there's been a small issue with the due diligence. Apparently one of the board asked for confirmation and Rudkin admitted it'd slipped his mind.

I've been told that all is in hand and that Rudkin has sent Jim to Boots at Fosse Park to pick up a 50ml bottle from the beauty counter.

The club are now confident that everything will be in place ahead of kick off today.

Taking MORE time?!?

We knew the direction of travel back in Feb. We were relegated 80-odd days ago. RVN was sacked two weeks ago and pre-season is already underway. These plans should have been in place for the start of June at the VERY latest. There's a point where due diligence simply translates into negligence.

Not sure about anyone else, but this prolonged wait has sucked the excitement out of the appointment a bit. If Cifuentes is appointed, hope he has enough time and friendly games to get the team playing the way he wants.

The delay in appointing someone is also naturally impacting our transfer strategy too, in a window where we really needed to act faster to clear the deadwood and get in some fresh faces (e.g. a striker).

It’ll be Christmas before any kind of playing style emerges and as per the manager will be criticised despite the fact that he’s had no time to work with the players - once again he becomes the fall guy because our wonderful ownership takes too long in making any decisions and has had no pre season to get over any ideas.

The football club is in complete disarray

Top just get us an owner that wants to make our club just half decent and sell up
