Definitely not the worst of all time but – personally, live – I remember being astonished at how bad Roman Bednar looked on his debut against Forest.

I can't remember the opponents but in his final match it was obvious he didn't want to be there.

Lee philpott having an absolute stinker in a reserve game so bad even the kids there were abusing him. Good old Family Night Football 😂

Michael Morrison pompey away, think we lost 6-1

This is a good shout. Him and Vitor were shambolic. Not helped by Logan behind them. I was stood on the front row of the away end and I could hear them talking to each other, shockingly bad really.

Jesus actually thinking about it I think the back 5 that night was Logan, Nielsen, Morrison, Victor, Lamey (?!). Against Nugent and Kitson. No wonder we got violated lol

Ade Akinbiyi under the fraud Taylor.  Missed 3 nailed on sitters at home against Liverpool, even commentators on motd later, said how awful those misses were.

Danny Ward, enough said, woeful in every department.

Patson Daka, I refuse to believe this man is a professional footballer.

Josh Low, Junior Lewis, Pearsons son, to name but a few.

Soumare for me has been awful from pretty much day one, hasn’t had a stand out game in 4 seasons, offers nothing and his effort and application is appalling  and we paid circa £20m and he has been on £80k per week, absolutely stealing a living

Junior Lewis every time he played.

He had a decent game at Old Trafford, either his first game on loan or first game after he signed permanently, can't remember which.

After that however...

I'd nominate Ryan McGivern at home to Bristol City under Pearson. Made Ivan Sproule look like Messi.

Jimmy Willis had a shocker on his debut, so bad in fact he got subbed at half time and sent out on loan.

Got to give the guy credit as he came back decent, so think he just struggled to initially get used to a higher league.

Didn’t want to put this in writing as he did a good job for us after that initial game

Ahmed Musa has to be up there. Can’t remember the opponent but I’ll never forget him running to the byline with the ball but just not stopping. Goal kick. Just looked at my dad and we knew then this was very much a Rudkin special.

Both Soumare and Tielemans away to Fulham in the previous relegation season. They just gave up completely, walking around not chasing. Youri was clearly just focused on avoiding any risk of injury as he had been for months.

Similarly Bell Chilbell once he’d set up his Chelsea move was in self preservation mode, couldn’t give a damn and sacrificed our Champions League hopes for his own personal gain, pulled out of 50-50’s, stopped taking people on.

However all pale into insignificance when I remember Norman Leet. “Dad, number 3 is rubbish who is he?”, “That’s Norman Leet, he just plays when the proper footballers are injured”.

That Fulham game was laughable how bad we actually played

Other than Ward v Wolves and Soumare every week, an Ian Ormondroyd moment sticks in my mind when he was clean through v Charlton away when we packed out Upton Park and just trod on the ball and crumpled like a new born giraffe! You couldn’t fault his  effort mind, unlike as mentioned on the thread the likes of Beckford.

Matthew Pearson vs Shrewsbury.

They had a powerful pacey winger who he was supposed to be marking.

His expression and performance were similar to what mine would have been if I were in his position. And I can barely kick a football.

Norman Leet in the 4-1 home loss to Norwich in 1982. Spectacular own goal together with his trade mark shocking performance.
