Just got one of these. It’s a beauty, from the year I was born. Also the Ind Coope pinstripes ofc.

Always liked this one tbf despite us being wank at the time.
Edit: and despite it being an away shirt and me not reading the title properly

I won't blame you for posting an away shirt in this thread... as it was this beauty I chose to immortalize as an away kit when choosing to paint a subbuteo team (as per my avatar)! But I did cheat a little with the home shirt, as I went with the first ever home shirt - the black with the light blue sash. Not sure there will be many mentions of that in this thread!

(If I ever get round to finishing them, I did feel like I needed a blue team, so am half way through the 80s pinstripe one with the green & yellow away)

I think there's a strong case for

1987-88 is probably my favourite, but already mentioned.

I like the 2018-19 shirt, that’s my current go to shirt. The women’s version was pretty horrific though!

Agree that 87/88 is a beauty. 09/10 was nice just because it was without a sponsor. 20/21 I like just because I have very fond memories of that season despite the lock outs.

09/10 is a shout; can’t remember another sponsorless one?

1) 15-16 for what we did in it. Absolutely immortal.

2) 90-92 for being the first shirt I remember.

3) 83-85 for pure aesthetics. A remake of this by Adidas, as they have with Cycling Mikey FC's 92-94 shirt, would persuade me to invest.

4) 16-17 may have been bang average domestically, but this with champions patches on and under the lights against Sevilla and Atletico is iconic stuff.

5) 92-94. Pure memories. Silence of the lambs.

6) 94-96. "That could be the winner from Claridge. IT IS!"

Whichever kits of these favourites were to be released in the future, identical in style to those, would be vilified by at least 30% of the fan base!

Still got mine. I've played 5-a-side in it occasionally for 15+ years and it still looks brand new- oddly, it's probably one of the best-made and durable kits we've ever had.

An absolute monstrosity at the time but I'm quite fond of it now.

The least breathable material ever. I also still have mine and it’s virtually brand new also. Indestructible. Like the Nokia 3310 of home kits

Had more of our white shirts than blue.

Love our blue but we seem to have had better away/White shirts.

I've often thought it would be good to have Umbro as our next kit supplier. They seem to make some nice shirts and of course this retro one is very smart.

This! By far!
Best way the board could turn things around would be to announce Walkers as the new shirt sponsor.

I dont mind the current shirt. Just the absolute made up immoral betting company thats on the front I can abide by.

It could be that it was when I first got into following City properly, but I always thought this was a proper solid effort. Simple, smart and Leicester in the sponsor. Had it for 2 seasons aswell which is rare.

Remember wearing this as a kid and it being so baggy

For me the 95/96 home shirt will always be the best.

I can still remember dad giving me the kit when I got back from school. Loved it.

Versatile too;

Footy training/ kickabout - covered

Visitng your gran - covered

Out sulkily food shopping with mum - covered

Birthday party - covered

Meal at the Flying Childers - Covered.

Maybe it's just a bad remake or my nostalgia blinded me but I bought one of these and it looks so naff in person. Got the original somewhere that sadly got ruined (not that a kids shirt will fit!) and it's so much better quality.

Yeah same! I genuinely could fit into mine still a couple of years ago and I had it when I was 13 lol
