Really? I think Alves has been quite poor. I've lost count at the amount of times he's had the ball taken off him.

Ofcourse, it means nothing in this sort of game but I do think he's been off it today.

I thought the same to be honest.

Reminded me of young Grealish actually - Clearly capable but loses the ball so often that he's often a hindrance to the team.

The audible "Noooooo" from Marti is wonderful

He's also saying that because Daka passed it backwards. I can only passively watch the game but I can see that he's got a bit of a job on to coach out of the players their nature to dwell on the ball and take it slowly, he wants them to get it forwards much faster.

So yeah Daka was shit here, but the manager wanted him to take more of a risk going the other way too.

Alves started very well but has lost the ball and lot towards the end of the half. His pressing and intention though is exactly what is required in this system, he'll do well next season off the bench IMO.

Been well impressed with him to be fair, can definitely see how he'd be class down the middle. He's so comfortable on the ball, the way he can take the ball on the turn is majestic.

When he's lost it, he's tended to be isolated.

Would much rather a player looking to do something than turning back and killing all momentum.

Oh absolutely I was saying it's a massive positive how angry he was about him turning round!

The manager not being here tells you a lot. Like mentioned by others this is clearly a majority of players who want out with a sprinkling of the youth who aren’t quite ready yet. Ben Nelson the exception though, he must surely be still carrying a knock because there’s no other explanation as to why he’s not started/gone to the Koln match.

Get yerself to specsavers before the season starts.

Who’s starting ahead of Alves then if Bilal is off?

That's still a decent team that. Very strong back line so aint no way we're conceding to a team not a single person in this forum has heard of.
