Same seems to have happened towards the back of P Block 

 

Masses of new (mainly young lads) faces up there and is a definite improvement on noise/chants/songs/banter/atmosphere.

 

Pretty sure Oxford are gonna use their whole away allocation so they will be closer than Burton Albion and Plymouth so it should be pretty raucous up there and if I remember right Oxford at home last time got pretty fierce and vocal between us and them.

 

After tonight's result fans up there will be buzzing for this one.

Both sets of fans were outstanding, loved hearing the Green Army noise booming out from the away end. The Leicester fans responded with lots of back and forth with the Green Army. I enjoyed translating some of the chants to my gf  We even made up a new Pepple chant between us (we didnt sing it of ofc), not many others were sat near us. The atmosphere surprised me, expected a sterile corporate affair but it was anything but.


Couldn’t make tonight, but that sounds promising

Are you under 30? Rocking All Over The World was a big song for City fans in the 90s at the Wembley trips. It always got the crowd going. It was nearly always played for so many years after a good home win, of which there were many at that time. It may have killed the atmosphere for you but for many, it recalls happier times.

I understand for Wembley trips, or big games. 

Not Plymouth at home at our lowest ebb

There shouldn't be any music played imo, let alone at the final whistle 😮‍💨

Hence why it's stupid to play it for a third division home win over Plymouth on a Tuesday night. Should only be reserved for really big moments.

 

We wouldn't start playing We Are The Champions, would we? Also a big Wembley anthem from those days.

What was pleasing last night is you could hear SK1 from P block and that started a few songs here. There’s definitely the potential for a good atmosphere this season if the players don’t let us down. L1 was good too.

I think there's still more to come from us in the stands but pitched at the right level last night. I think the response from the errors in and around our own area was warranted. When we got the ball forward and showed intent to get at the goal it was repaid with some actual noise. The goals obviously help the atmosphere, but I also think we could have fell silent towards the end and contributed to a nervy finish. We didn't and every McCarthy save just ramped up the noise a little more. 

 

Enjoyed it, also the Braybrooke chant is 👌

No, I’m 38. I’m well of it’s history. It was used for trips to Wembley. And the fact it was rarely used made it the better.
 

A 2-0 win over Plymouth with a crowd organically creating a good atmosphere and a recognisable new song (hello city play Billy Ocean).

Rocking all over the world caters for the over 60's.

 

Time to cater to the younger fans I think.

They did cater for the younger fans last season with tunes from the dressing room and to be fair I would rather listen to  Status Quo than some of the so called music picked for that.
