Happy the season is starting and looking forward to tomorrow

 

Where will we finish?

Automatic promotion (maybe 2nd)

 

How many points will we be deducted?

6

 

Who will be our most important player?

Fatawu

 

Who will be top scorer?

Ayew

 

What are you most excited about?

Seeing Fatawu again,

 

What are you most worried about?

Defence

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season?

Fatawu, although looking forward to seeing our new identity after a torrid 2024

 

Which player is going to surprise us?

Based on the little we have seen in pre-season and the fact we are no longer in the EPL, Skipp 

 

Which player do you most want out the door?

Vestergaad

 

Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep?

Bek

 

Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year?

Little to early to say, but so far so good.

Your mood in 10 words? I will be happier when the rotten apples have gone.

 

Where will we finish? 3rd if there are two runaway teams and a points deduction, second if only one breaks away from the pack, it varies year to year.

 

How many points will we be deducted? 8 then down to 6 on appeal.

 

Who will be our most important player? Bilal and Fatawu give us quality opponents won’t handle but I think an organising, vocal CB is crucial, alongside Nelson I hope. Okoli til December then maybe Souttar.

 

Who will be top scorer? A few like Ayew, Daka and Fatawu on 8-13 goals but Mavididi top with 14

 

What are you most excited about? The youngsters and getting them to bond as a potential core of the side for a new era, Nelson, Monga, Alves, Page, Evans and I include Fatawu, Bilal and Stolarcyk in that even though they’re further down the track with their experience. 

 

What are you most worried about? Rudkin  making decisions still.

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season? A change in the communication from board to us. I still haven’t seen or heard an explanation for last season yet. Explain your decisions.

 

Which player is going to surprise us? If Souttar returns to fitness around Christmas I think he’ll surprise people as to what a decent job he can do. He’s better than a lot think.

 

Which player do you most want out the door?

Faes won’t want be here so shouldn't be, Vestergaard is not good enough but will need to duck to get through door and Winks as a senior pro should have been around the place encouraging Monga before the Liverpool game. He was in a London park having tea and scones. And that giving up chasing away at West Ham after only coming on minutes earlier? Which one most though…..tough…..Vestergaard he has no place in our future. And I forgot Soumare, we really are a hostel of lost causes at Seagrave.

 

Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep? Bilal, slightly more likely than Fatawu after his injury it might be too soon.

 

Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year- Yes but we may have interest in him from PL strugglers Leeds or someone in the final third of season.

Probably Fatawu, possibly the new striker if we sign one in this window.

 

What are you most excited about?

Our wingers in the championship 

 

What are you most worried about?

Our wingers having the crap kicked out of them and being long term injured.

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season?

Winning by playing on the front foot. 

 

Which player is going to surprise us?

No idea it will be a surprise 

 

Which player do you most want out the door?

Faes clearly doesn’t want to be here.

 

Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep?

Okoli, I’m already resigned to El Khannouss going. 

 

Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year?

Yes , early signs are promising and we simply cannot afford to sack him as well.

Your mood in 10 words? Quietly confident – with reasonable deduction (-6), top two feels achievable.

 

Where will we finish? 2nd.

 

How many points will we be deducted? 6 after appeal.

 

Who will be our most important player? Fatawu.

 

Who will be top scorer? Fatawu.

 

What are you most excited about? Monga.

 

What are you most worried about? The football slowing down and becoming Enzo v2.

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season? The club over the course of the season showing us they have turned a corner and gone back to the old blueprint, no more stupid contracts, communication with fans, rebuilding the foundation on and off the pitch.

 

Which player is going to surprise us? Soumare

 

Which player do you most want out the door? Faes. 

 

Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep? Meh, maybe Bilal unless we get a £25m bid.

 

Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year? Yes.

10th. That team is shit with a bit of glitter in it.

 

Once teams realise our only threat is our wingers, we're bang in trouble. Nothing in central midfield, no threat in the box. Double up on our wingers and we're nullified.

We could be anything. I said on the podcast we ought to be amongst it points deduction or no deduction but we do feel like a very delicately poised outfit. If we struggle early on then I don't see us recovering like is common in this division (see Coventry numerous times).

 

It also depends if we lose El Khannouss and/or Fatawu, likewise what other business is done. Even if we go with the squad we have right now I see major weaknesses in this squad that could see us struggle to challenge. 

 

I'm trying to remain sensible, this cannot be fixed overnight and it is still alarming how nothing changes off the pitch here at board level. If Cifuentes can develop players then thats our best hope right now but it is likely to be a different experience to that of two years ago.

The one area that gives me slight hope in terms of the league is that other "contenders" haven't hit the ground running either. I guess disruption with players potentially leaving and such does affect things quite negatively. 

 

For the neutrals I think the Champ could be quite fun this year, but I'd take a playoff spot for us right now as I'm not confident we can achieve more.

Pretty much what I'm clinging to. Birmingham v Ipswich was abysmal for a game that the pundits will have you think could easily be a title decider. Southampton barely squeaked by Wrexham and Middlesbrough managed to lose 4-0 at home to Doncaster, a result that would have had us headed to Seagrave with pitchforks and burning torches. 

 

The problem is that one or all of these teams will eventually pick up a bit of momentum, and we need to make sure we're among the first.

None - The god ones will improve and the shite ones will continue to be shite - no surprises there whatsoever

Hopefully. He needs to use his eyes and **** a lot of these players off and really use the academy players to change the attitude, culture and play - If he does we'll gradually improve
