Either it's bollocks, or he's signed a pro contract which enables him to go out on loan - which I think is bollocks considering he's currently first choice CAM and would require at least two coming in because Ayew / Mav are not it.

 

We shouldn't be loaning out 17 year olds especially when they're getting game time.

Would be gutted if he left. Saw a lot of potential on Friday night and he'd be miles off getting first team action at 90% of prem clubs, especially those mentioned. Needs a long term deal...here!!

has a scholarship deal until Summer 2027 - we have time to sort out pro deal

Got to admit, I always had a bit of a feeling that with this top talent that if they got big club interest they would move and that offering them minutes wasn’t going to help…. But monga and now Page are showing us that these lads just want opportunities and if we provide them they will stay. 
 

Fair play to the club for getting these moves right at an integral time for the club. These boys might be the ones to keep us afloat

Great example for the guys coming up behind them as well like Hutchinson, Evans, Briggs, Neale, Gray, etc

Now we have to reward that loyalty with an actual pathway to the first team.

 

I remember all the noise last summer about how Will Alves was promoted to the first team then once he signed a new contract he was left out in the wilderness. Similarly Nelson has been left to rot.

Monga shouldn't be the standard. Page is a very good prospect in his own right, it's unfair to compare him to one of the best talents in the country.

Monga definitely could change his mind. He can't sign a contract, nevermind a contract to sign a contract (I await someone who knows the law to tell me I'm wrong)

I think the situation is that there is a contract in place ready for him to sign when he's 17, but yeah as far as I'm aware there's no absolute guarantee. I assume we've offered him a very healthy contract and assurances he'll get game time.

I was really impressed with his pre-season, seeming to have the back of being in the right place and scoring. 

 

He also looks to have a decent physique and will fill out in the next couple of years which will give him the strength he needs on the ball.
