IF we sell both BEK AND Fatawu then this becomes a distinct possibility. We'd be left with a squad that is very much a championship squad. Furthermore, it's a dysfunctional squad without decent leadership. There's also a total lack of quality in midfield and very little threat up front. KP look like they're trying to claw back some money before they **** off.

It's not impossible that we go down. Very little is going well at the club.

We're gonna win the league at a canter. Playing high quality, fast paced committed football. I saw enough from the last game to say this with absolute confidence (pass the bong would ya?).

I was thinking what the **** are you on

I think we could get relegated too - all of the ingredients are there

I'd say not, but it's hard to predict anything with a new manager and only three games played. We'll need 50+ goals to stay up, which puts huge pressure on Fatawu, Mavididi and BEK, let's face it Daka and Ayew will struggle to get a dozen between them. We need a Striker!

Mads ,Wilf, Vards KDH all gone

Beks and fats  potentially going.

Faes and Winks lost interest .Justin and Ricardo injuries caught up with them.

Vestergaard soumare Daka all getting worse and going through the motions

Yep  we're in the scrap.

When this thread popped up I thought it was laughable, ‘of course we won’t get relegated we have one of the strongest squads in the league’ I thought.

Then I went to Deepdale and witnessed the reality of the situation. We reek of Sunderland 17/18, going to into a season expecting promotion with a squad of overpaid so called Premier League players who ultimately aren’t up for fight and weigh the club down with their egos.

Yes Preston is one result and if we go and beat Charlton 3-0 on Saturday this will seem laughable but I was very concerned with what I saw last weekend. Players were either not bothered at all or thought they were too good for the division and could either not try or could simply run past everyone.
The fact we’ve raised over £30m in sales and still not brought in a striker just goes to show how dire things are behind the scenes

Do I think we’ll get relegated? No. But it’s a lot more likely that it was 7 days ago

We know well what the results of playing with half arsed players and management is. If anyone isn't fully committed to the club, and earning a salary most of us can only dream of, they need to go now. Marti will at least have a chance to have a good look at the players we have without discontent in the squad and plan to sign players in January, that we need, rather than the panic buys in the past that has lead to the PSR problems we have now.

Big concern is the ability to grind out results, short in all areas apart from wingers, and the mindset of many in this group is they couldn’t care less as long as the 6 figure sums go into the bank at month end.

Wont go down, but absolutely nowhere near the top 6, and even if money is spent, it won’t be done wisely by Rudkin will it!

We can repeat this sentiment a thousand times, but unfortunately it will not change a thing if nobody wants those players.

A month ago I didn't think so, but based on more players leaving, the ones remaining not giving a shit, and we're not bringing anyone in to boost the squad, it's becoming a possibility.

People thought we we're too good to go down 3 seasons ago, and the attitude I'm seeing from our players is far worse than it was then and the players now aren't even that good

I absolutely agree with this. If we lose those two players we lose the unpredictable and creative ability they have. They are not the problem with LCFC. They won't be on huge contracts. Fatawu seems a great person to have around the squad. I suspect we will lose Bilal. Ayew as no 10! We need to ship out high earners who may command a fee. We also must bring in some new players with ability and the right mentality. If we just sell and don't replace this season is going to be painful.

Anything could happen with this club. So could it happen absolutely yes.

Though under Enzo even though we won our 1st 3 we were lucky against Cov, they should’ve won, 2-1 away at Rotherham and then a late late goal against Cardiff, followed by a defeat to hull.

I think we’ll know more September 1st or whenever the window closes.

If people do not think that it is possible, they weren't at Colchester at home in 2007/08.  A miserable day and a miserable result following a miserable team.

We are currently two players away from that scenario imo.  Lose Fatawu and BEK and we are done w/o replacements.

Of course it's possible, it's football. Should it happen? No. Like others have said we have players that just don't want to be here and the quality of the squad is falling every time we sell a player. If we don't get loans in at least, then I do fear for a hard season, but we should mid table at least. Anything lower and the club is more of a mess than we think. Any where near relegation again and we are on Sheffield Wednesday territory

If we sell are two best players , I think we will be lucky to miss the bottom 3 , and if we go down we might never see the foxes in the EPL , in the next 3-5 generations, that’s how bad this could get .

10 years ago we were the king of the castle, now we look like the kings jester , the people in charge have a lot to answer too

I honestly think that if the young guns are given a chance (Page, Monga, Alves, Aluko, Nelson, S. Thomas, Evans) there'll be enough energy and unpredictability about us to have an ok season.

We're going to absolutely rot if we continue lining up with the midfield and backline we have been doing though. Experience matters not a smidgen of a dick at this point when teams are going to raise their game against us and see us as a scalp. I said before a ball was kicked that gegenpress tactics are far more common in the Championship now than they were even two years ago, so we're not going to get the same 'respect' we did for half the season last time. Every single game, teams are going to bite at our heels like Preston and Sheff Weds did, and expose our lack of pace and shit midfield with relative ease.

Lose Fatawu & BEK and we're 100% finishing in the bottom third with our lineup from the first 3 games. We can't score, can't control the middle of the park, and concede at least a goal a game. It's a recipe for disaster.

Given what we've seen so far - going a goal down against Wednesday, losing to Huddersfield, losing to Preston - the question is, could we conceivably lose to any team we face this season?

At 3pm on any given Saturday, I am not confident that this squad will prevail.

Nothing is guaranteed. It's easy to look at the season and say 'no way we go down' but we can't look at any one fixture and say 'the points are nailed on'.

going a goal down against Wednesday,

And let’s be honest we will not get an easier fixture this season, the Sheff Wednesday players were training on a local college’s astroturf pitch as the training ground wasn’t useable, they hadn’t played a game for several weeks before us and was down to 10 players for a 1/3 of the game

We are not going up, but I have confidence that the bottom of this league is so appallingly bad that worst case sees us lower mid table.

I wouldn’t be so sure, PNE just scraped survival on the final day of last season and then outplayed and out battled us for the majority of the game on Saturday, the issue for me is this current group don’t look to the have the heart or stomach for the battle and  the majority of the players who are rumoured to have clubs interested in them are not necessarily the ones we need to shift on and refresh.
