Anything is possible, but I don’t think we will get relegated, as I think Cifuentes will do a decent job, however I do think there will be significant bumps along the way and if a number of the  wantaway players don’t move in this window it will be a difficult environment but get the feeling the majority will then be shifted in January.

The concern for me is how little is changing at the top of the club, Top desperately needs to revamp the football operations both commercially and at DoF level to help us become competitive again and I just cannot see it happening. This summer has again shown just how poorly ran we are.

The only way we get relegated is if the EFL give us an unprecedented points deduction. I think we'd survive with anything under 30 points.

The EFL cannot give us a points deduction. The EPL has charged us and an independent commission will determine the punishment. It won’t be double figures, let alone 30.

Mate, I hope you've got this saved somewhere so you can cut and paste it, the amount of times you've had to explain it lol

Some of you laugh but if we get slapped with a hefty points deduction I wouldn't rule it out. I can't see it without one though.

You'd of needed to finish in 11th to survive a 12 point deduction last year and I'd say that's far from a guarantee.

We won’t this season, our decline will be slower than that. We’ll stay up for now but the more king power suck both the money and life out of the club, the worse we will get.

Put it this way, I’d be far more surprised if we were in the premier league in a few seasons time than if we were in league 1. It’s inevitable at this point under this ownership.

We couldn't have been begging to lose a game more than that one against Wednesday but our quality is too much for this league to win more than we lose. Do I think we'll get Top 6? Not sure, think I'd have to see a lot more fight in this lot and hope Marti can do it, but absolutely not, we won't get relegated!

We technically finished higher than any other team in the league last season, look at any championship squad and ask yourself who'd realistically get into ours and there aren't many.

I know we were diabolical last season but we'll be fine.

I actually think this post should be pinned to the top of every thread that makes even a passing mention of PSR issues. @Finnegan , can we make that happen?

On a serious note, I'd be amazed if it was even higher end of single figures and would fully expect it to be reduced on appeal if it was. Everton (6pts for a first offence and 2pts for the second) and Forest (4pts) have set a clear precedent. It'll be between 4pts and 6pts. Ineptitude is our enemy this season, not the EPL.

If we were to sell Fats, Beks and a few others and not get anyone in plus a points deduction, it could happen, no one expected relegation at the start of  Brendans final season here.

All depends on what happens over the next month or two.

I'd keep an open mind on it if I were you. As it's a case by case basis it could be anything or nothing at all, the relevant bodies seem to make it up as they go along.

30 is silly talk though that's administration and remaining in administration for a lengthy period of time level deduction. Absolute worst case would be 12 you'd think with the best case being nothing.

I still don’t understand where people are plucking these figures from….. it wouldn’t surprise me if we get nothing.
