True, that's one example, do we know of any others?

We haven't finished falling yet, that's for sure.

Brescia have been fully kicked out of their league, Sampdoria were only spared double relegation because of that.

Östersunds, that team Graham Potter used to manage, ended up going down in the regional leagues.

As I said, don't get me wrong our situation is very bad but being a middle table Championship club wouldn't be the worse fall

……and inept management, PSR didn’t force us to spunk millions on shite like VK, Skipp, BDCR, Ayew and Eduoard or give lengthy and expensive contract extensions to Vesty, Hamza etc or shell out big fees and ridiculous contracts to the likes of Soumare and Daka.

PSR is restrictive but much of our problems are of our own making.

You’re absolutely right, but PSR does mean there’s a lot less leeway for mistakes.

I’d argue Man U have been worse run than us, but they’re the right side of PSR so can get away with it more. Imagine us paying £80m for Maguire and it not crippling us, and that’s just one example of numerous at Old Trafford.

I was more talking about in England in general though really and should have specified. Foreign football is more volatile in general with this sort of thing - take Ukraine where it felt like whoever finished 3rd was defunct within 3 years.

In England I struggle to think of things that are really comparable. Bury, Morecambe etc... are worse situations and I suppose to go to literally not existing is technically a bigger decline.

But to go from such a position of strength to such a position of weakness, this quickly, all under the same owner is astounding. I remember nothing really quite like it. Entirely self-enforced, self-inflicted. It's crazy. The speed of the fall is why I don't think it's anywhere near over. I don't know what's going to change.

We seriously NEED some communication on what the ****s happening at our club! Its beyond a joke now...

Are we in a financial mess?

Whats the current ambitions of the club?

Stadium expansion unlikely to happen but would be nice to hear an update?

Relegation statement?

Relegation changes from 22/23?

The list goes on.... I just want the truth now, getting sick of this sh!t.

He ain't going anywhere, we're going back to our rightful place as a championship team but it's just been fast-tracked thanks to PSR.

What's the financial pressure actually from - PSR? Or due to Kingpower potentially being on the verge of going bust and needing to recover funds?

I think KP as a whole has been attacked the crash still doesn't sit right with me, hopefully Top sells before its to late and he loses everything, selling players and not investing it back into the team while the main business is struggling, something needs to change.

Blackburns falloff was just as bad.

Wimbledon, Premier League to non existent.

Leeds decline was incredible after reaching the UCL Semi.

Portsmouth went from FA Cup winners to League 2.

Ipswich finished 5th in the Premier League early years as well, before falling away.

Our peak was short really, like we struck lucky.

For someone to rise, another must fall. That’s the way it works.

Oh, this is definitely our own doing, it's more that under Tops ownership we're regressing as a football club but with PSR having a chokehold on us I just feel it's speeding that process up. When this transfer window closes that makes it officially 2 squad players who can't/won't make the first time signed in a year!

This club is just shambolic throughout, it's frankly depressing. Had the opportunity of a lifetime but because of this inept idiot, we've thrown all of that away and it will take us years to rebuild!

100% this.

The hubris is off the scale. He will not sell. He'd rather see us defunct than admit his mistakes.

its more to do with the facts his family have invested over 400m in the club and, considering the impending points deduction, state of our squad and finances, no one is going to pay him that much h and he doesn’t want to make a loss..

If he doesn't sell and continues this way, then it will be worth even less in the future when we are a midtable championship or even a League 1 club. I don't see any ambition so far this summer, to make us a Premier League club again. Our value is dropping the longer he stays.

So maybe he will sell off the assets?

So far, looks like that is exactly what is going on. Everyone is for sale it seems, and we have only signed a 38 year old keeper. Sad times.

I come back to what I said earlier this week.

Selling off our higher value assets and using the academy players was always the pipe dream. We’ll find our natural place by doing this, as it’s unrealistic to build a Premier League team now, with the core  being players from your academy.

I’m hoping that isn’t the plan and we asset strip the rest, however our distinct lack of pulse to do anything remotely proactive or communicate with the fan base, is painful.

He most likely thinks that they’re “his business”, and us as customers should just crack on keep throwing money around in the club shop on tat, splurging £80 on a shirt you can get for £12 elsewhere, then attend games and watch people who are half arsed and accept it, like we haven’t got a longer term emotional investment in the “club”.

The best time to sell was when we got re-promoted, the 2nd best time to sell is now. We are currently on a downward trajectory, bleeding money with no real way or desire to undertake the required squad overhaul.

The lack of communication is very deliberate and that for me is unforgivable. I would apportion a lot of blame and criticism on both our ownership and those they trust to run the club at board and director level but even for those sympathetic of fans who put all of this down to bad luck and it being unfair, the complete disregard for for our fanbase is plain to see.

I am now at the point if someone offered me League Two football but it meant Top, Rudkin and Co were finally gone i'd take it.

I totally agree with everything here and especially the last paragraph I’d take league 2 if they went !
