OK, here’s how I see it:

If Aiyawatt is finally agreeing to do an interview, it suggests that the pressure from fans is working, and that someone at the club has advised him to go beyond the usual generic, copy / paste lines we get in the programme notes.

On the other hand, you can bet this will earn him a bit more goodwill from the die-hard KPFC lot and might even win over a few people who are on the fence.

It’s somewhat encouraging, I suppose, but regardless, he still needs to face some TOUGH questions. I’m just not convinced Radio Leicester will be the ones to really push him - it’ll almost certainly be heavily PR-managed.

Yeah BBCRL won’t want to piss him off, they’ll snap up the rare occasion to speak to him in the hope that he will then do it again.

I expect some half decent questions on the “do you understand fan’s frustrations” lines, with a waffling answer and no real further push back.

That’s not a criticism of whoever gets the interview (presuming OPA), but this is very unlikely to lead to any major news on anything.

My only thinking about the "next few weeks" comment is that it'll be Sky doing it as either part of the Southampton or Sheffield United coverage.

Both the Southampton and Sheffield United games are on main Sky Sports Football channel with 1 hour build up.

Good point. In which case I'd guess there won't be anything of value said.

Sky might ask something like "why is the sixth most successful club since the turn of the century languishing in the Championship?" but we all know there's so much more to our decline on and off the pitch.

At least RL are aware of the feelings throughout the fanbase.

"Open to talk about anything" IE pre screened questions from Anthony Herlihy.

Even if the FAB are there it'll then be behind a NDA.

Q1 - What is Susan's office like?

Q2 - Does it have a comfy chair?

Q3 - I see your Polo team won the other day. What did that feel like?

Q4 - What's your perfect Sunday?

Q5 - What's your favourite colour?

End.

Can we bribe Matt Piper to burst in mid -interview and give him a lungful? About the only person in that building that isn't going to kiss his arse.

I like Owynn but it'll be seen as a great sound bite for his own career. The local radio are ****ing lucky there's anyone left listening to them after they put their neck in the line to support Stringer and in return we didn't get one single interview with any playing or coaching staff for years. So sorry if I don't jump for joy at this little PR stunt.

Top won't for a minute let anyone question him. He's made that abundantly clear. I'm not expecting anything about why Rudkin is still there. It will all be about how hard done by they've been. Hands have been tied. It will work on the usual. I won't call them flask drinkers again, but you know the ones.

Our relationship with him is beyond repair and he needs to just get out the club if he has any respect for us or cares about his Dad's legacy.

He'd struggle to answer most of them tbh

Piper is the same person that kept saying "I'd rather experience all the highs and get relegated instead of nothing at all like other clubs" when we were getting relegated in 22/23.

He won't have a clue how to answer 1 or 2 because he's not been here.

It will have the worst possible effect - it'll fool those on the fence while they continue to just cross their fingers it gets better.

It's honestly incredible if this is true that they think this will wash with us.

First question should be, why's it taken this ****ing long to talk to us?

Honestly it's not just a couple of years too late it's ****ing half a decade late. I actually find it more insulting to do one now.

You don't think it will? I'd say it'll fool more than it won't.

Aiyawatt and Rudkin will see that as the ideal scenario and that's the only reason it's happening.

Any of the usual fan channel creators neck to toe in club merch and go to shit like the Fatawu documentary screening who might as well have "we are where we are" scarves will probably come out and quote a few things with heart emojis. No doubt we'll get a few Vichai mentions just for good measure. That's worked to gaslight us to where we are now.

Anyone with a ****ing brain will see it for what it is.
