I don't know for sure, but didn't the covid pandemic screw them up when all travel was banned and they haven't financially recovered since then?

 

Their investment in their airport retail outlets and the apparent debt they owe the Thai government is their number 1 concern and LCFC comes a poor second.

 

That said, if we are a millstone round KP's neck, why not cut loose?

12 million seems like a good price for him but when you consider we paid over 20 million for Skipp. Had potential but didn't really show it enough!!.

The transfer comes a bit premature for my liking, should've been given at least another year.

Sentimental factor also plays a role here, homegrown talent and all.

I think travel to Thailand has more than recovered. Not so travellers from China happy to purchase the shite KP has on sale!

Just read his farewell post, very classy, tells you all you need to know about him on a human level, even if the talent isn't always there. 

 

Good luck to the lad, I hope Ipswich get more out of him than we have. I've found it interesting he's looked a much better player on international duty than he has in a city shirt.

Hadn't thought of this until now but Ipswich have got quite a few Ireland internationals in their squad so maybe that played a part if he gets on well with them
