He's been here forever - but is he the first proper academy lad who's benefited from the facilities at Seagrave - allowing us to sell him for pure profit?

 

We've been a club that has bought well and sold high (up until recent years).  Maybe this has to be the longterm strategy now...train up with the best facilities and sell for pure profit.  

 

Wish him well.  But hope they don't go up.

Can someone please explain how selling our 4th choice winger to a promotion rival is a bad decision? If he was good enough to affect a promotion challenge he'd be starting ahead of Fatawu, Mavididi and Monga.

Can’t ever fault his work rate and how much he tried, but it’s a really good fee and pure profit from realistically an average player.

Good luck to him. It's rare we accept offers of a decent amount, especially for mediocre players. We're slightly strengthening a rival whilst slightly weakening ourselves, but we are flush with wingers so it actually makes some sense. Not sure who is left in the squad that gives af now though. That's my only concern.

If we’re in a financial mess after all the fireselling this window heads need to roll. Getting Soumare, Daka, Vestergard out should be the priority

I’m one of the few who seemed to have liked Casey. He always worked hard and had a great engine and had a knack of scoring some useful goals. I think it’s a good deal for all parties as he wasn’t getting enough game time here and I’m sure he will go and improve further with a successful career. Just don’t play well against us Casey please.

From a fans perspective, it’s a bit rubbish as always want an academy lad to do well.

 

However, the price that we got reminds of playing FM back in the day, when you’d create a manager just to pay inflated prices for squad players.

Feel a bit sad about this and I think it's because, like Harvey and KDH, he probably doesn't want to go and actually supports the club he is playing for. We need players that want to play for the badge and at the moment that is severely lacking 😔
