That’s an incredible deal for us. And at 12m, he won’t be going there to play as a reserve so I’m pleased for him. Everyone wins.  Except Ipswich.

Shame to see him leave but he was as average as average can be. He needs a massive season to prove himself. He was very stale here and Ipswich could be exactly what his career needs.

This is a cracking deal for us.

 

Likely will do quite well at Ipswich too tbf.

 

Runs around a lot and has a nack of getting relatively undeserved goals which Ipswich tend to be quite good at. 
 

We’ve had their pants down with the fee though. He’s a 2.5-4m utility midfielder who can’t take on a defender.

This is good business for us, Mcateer wasnt doing much for us anyway. If we had turned down that bid most of the fanbase would rightly been up in arms.

He's certainly not at the level of Omari Hutchinson as his direct replacement but it's a strange decision from us to sell him to what would be considered a promotion rival before the season started. 

 

Interesting to see if we do any incoming business before the window shuts.
