However, we’ve lost the midfield battle in every game this season for large parts of games. BEK may be going and replacing him would be great but if we sign/loan one player it’s got to be someone to replace Skipp and/or Soumare. Neither offer anything of value. Genuinely think we have a lot that can hurt teams but those two will hinder us.

Despite a lack of quality, we did on the whole get stuck in when it mattered, and gained a win and 3 points away from home against a side with 2 wins and a draw in their 3 competitive games this season. I'll take that.

Great performance. Thought the high press was excellent, kept possession in midfield, keeper had very little to do, always looked forward and didn’t seem like the opposition had much of a threat. Could’ve had three or four easily.

Against any Premier league side we would have lost 10/1 and the 1 would have been a wonder goal

I haven`t seen a worst first half performance ever.

Fortunately the second half substitutes made us look like a complete transformation from beyond terrible to just about average

Massively average, club is a mess, squad is a mess, squad selections are a mess, Marti needs to make better decisions, we had a better squad and played awfully, again. 

Sign Brownhill, bring in Kroupi on loan, sign a proper CDM destroyer and then let either Winks or Bouba go.

We looked awful. 
Ayew is not the answer up front and our midfield is dreadful.

Superb defending and keeping, not something we’ve been able to say much. 
 

a team full of confidence vs one completely lacking. That’s a good result! Never easy playing a team with momentum.

Poor going forward – but defended well (and bravely). I'll take that at this stage of the season. Not having BEK and Stephy showed – also lost McAteer at the end of the week. Not easy for any manager to deal with disruption like that, never mind a new one that is still learning about his squad. 

Long season. Once the window closes, Marti can get to work with the players he will end up with. Whether we sign anyone or not, I'm confident he will get us playing better than this.

We have to replace both BEK and Winks both if they go, we are too light in midfield, or we need trust in youth more.

Atleast we finally saw some fight that we were after. Hamza and Okoli especially. We are in absolute desperate need of a striker though and that should be priority number one on a shoestring. One that can hold it up and link play. Otherwise the ball will be constantly coming back at us like it did today
