Put my ticket up for resale whilst deciding whether to go or not.....

Theyve taken their momentum into the season and added to their squad.

 

Weve been very shaky but we are massively unsettled, with a depleted squad and the manager hasn't really had a proper preseason. I think this one should just be marked down as just dont lose. Id take a draw right now, in to the international break and then go at it with whatever final squad we have after the break, and be fully up and running by October. 

 

Whether its a win or a draw, id love it if we were to score late on for either result to knock some stuffing out of them.

I went to have a look at Birmingham's squad as so many on here think we'll struggle and seem to be bigging them up and it looks pretty average IMO.

 

Yes, we're nothing to write home about at the moment but I think we'll have too much quality against them personally.

Interesting to see who will play given we are so close to deadline day and Faes, Bilal, Kristiansen possibly even Daka all have clubs interested in them.

For every Skipp, Coulibaly and Slimani there is a Maddison, Evans and Maguire. It's patchy but not all bad. Not by a long shot.

A 10-0 hammering doesn't change the fact we haven't got a pot to do a wee in and most of our incomings have been used to pay off loans and keep our arse out of the fire.

 

No-one is coming in. This is it.

Patchy is VERY kind isn’t it?

 

I’d say it’s probably 70-30 in favour of poor signings. 
 

Focussing on our last 4 years, our success rate is most definitely even worse.

 

So what makes fans think that this time they’ll unearth a gem rather than a dud (on a 5 year contract too)?

The days of us turning up a Maddison, Maguire or even an unknown Algerian winger from the French peasant leagues are long gone. Our last exciting signing was Fatawu and he's been a rare gem in the last 5 or 6 windows of deadwood crap.

We’re that bad at signing players that signing nobody at all is actually strengthening the squad.
