None of our academy players progressing through right now are first choice. As it stands, the 1st team players we have sold have just been replaced in the XI by previous squad players.

 

Monga and Page started because they are back up to Mavididi and El Khannouss who weren't available. 

 

Stolarczyk has replaced Hermansen

Hamza replaced Justin

Okoli replaced Coady

Skipp replaced Ndidi

McAteer wasn't 1st choice anyway

True but I think given time the academy players will be stepping up into more prominent roles even though i would like some more starting players

problem with this we don't have anyone creating from Midfield, would have Bilal in for Soumare if he wants to play.

 

If he plays Skipp then he has clearly not watched the last 3 games

Bit exposed down the left?

Winks back as the deeper player and Soumare afforded to go slightly higher, let him carry the ball up the pitch. There will be space on transition against these for him to do that.

Quite excited for the game tonight - biggest test of the season,  under the lights etc just can’t see past a loss the way we’ve performed so far. Fingers crossed we can pick up a point or three 🤞

Yeah, but, but, but, they might overrun us in midfield :jawdrop:

Or, we could make some noise and make Monga, Page, Stolly, Fatawu and Mavadidi feel about 10 feet tall.

 

I don't doubt this one might be tight / difficult, but isn't a competition what people want from football. Let's give it some rather then whine that it might be a bit difficult.

Would get overrun down the flanks without full backs/wing backs and the middle with the lack of physicality. Realise we can't really pick a team that covers all bases so it's got to be one or the other.
