I forgot just how much Mavididi pissed this lot off, he also scored 3 times against them in 23/24 which went a long way to relegating them.

It's this sort of stuff Stephy can be ruthless at, but equally other hostile times (such as Cov away) where immediately he was off it and seemed to shrink.

I like stephy, when he's on it in this league he can change games. Hoping the muscle injury was genuine and he's not off

That was when he celebrated in front of their fans.  I’m not sure if he thought he was celebrating to the away end.

I know you know but Soumare and Daka are complete deadwood. I’d play Winks and Mavi instead

There’s something about Stephy that frustrates me, he has moments of brilliance from time to time but it just depends whether he’s up for it or not. We’re gonna need him this season, just hope he’s committed.

His body language this season has been off so far, seems like hes another one hoping to jump ship before the window closes... far as im aware haven't heard of any major interests elsewhere. So he could be dissapointed.

That’s just his normal body language.

That was Abdul that got sent off werent it? Don't think Mavididis ever made a tackle has he?

Youre bang on about him peeing these off though.. climbed over the barrier to celebrate at St Andrews didnt he?

No but he booted a ball at some young lad in the crowd about first ten minutes and their fans started giving him shit. He was fcuking rubbish for the rest of the game.

That said I think Stephy is very harsh judged at LCFC

Jakub

Ricardo (best position)

Okoli

Vestergaard

Thomas

Winks

Soumare (purely as we'll need a physical presence)

Fatawu

Ayew

Mavididi (if fit)

Daka

Rather have Ayew in the 10. They've started the season reasonably well and whilst we're unsettled as a squad I think games like this need experience, even of the quality isnt quite there. We're the home team but they'll make it somewhat hostile on the pitch and in the stands. Ayew has the ability to win plenty of free kicks at least

My biggest concern is the midfield battle , Paik and Iwata are very good

It’s not really a battle with our midfield.  If Bilal doesn’t play then zero tackles will be made.

It’s poor finishing that is stopping us getting battered rather than a solid defence and midfield.

Hope there aren’t boos for him, he seems like the sort that would be motivated to score in that scenario

I think he's the type to go into his shell, personally.
