Wish JJ well - as others have said he has never reached the levels from before his injury. He, like many others, had a poor season last year so a fresh start for all is for the best.

Great to see we’ve finally got good at letting players go for good money. Would have snapped your hand off if offered £20m for Mcateer and JJ at the start of the window.

He was never a £50m player.

I completely disagree. He was phenomenal in that Covid season until his injury.

Always liked him so very sorry to see him go on a personal level, but it was the right time to psrt ways. Wish him well and good luck JJ!

Good deal for us, wouldn’t have wanted to give him new contract. We do need cover though, his biggest asset was the ability to cover both sides. Albeit in the last few years, not that well

Do you think I'm wrong? England international, probably the best performing left back in the league in that season, 22/23 years old. Those players routinely go for £50m.

He's had one senior cap and Southgate called him out as largely appalling in a post match interview.

Good luck though JJ - gonna need it at Leeds.

That’s when he dropped off for me. Think that really knocked his confidence

Good deal. Good luck to JJ.

£50m in + wage savings - surely, surely this provides the flexibility to bring in a couple of first team players.

Think it’ll be one out, one in from this point on. Hopefully we can get another 3 or 4 out the door.

He was good but £50m good for a full back? Surely would have made him the most expensive full back in the world at the time?

Justin came here with huge potential but injuries always seemed to prevent him from fulfilling that potential.

Last season he was constantly out of position and was made to look very average on almost a weekly basis.

Good luck to him. I hope he does well at Leeds.

Chilwell and Wan Bisakka were both £50m and i'd argue that Justin was better than those.

We are desperate for a striker obviously but, sell Bilal and we will need another 10 (perhaps Stengs) but midfield and LB are also key / as important gaps to fill.

Agree hopefully 3/4 in before the window closes.

Good luck to JJ, likeable guy and decent performer. Fee is market value overall, he’s only 27 so has few years in him yet.

Main thing we will miss is that left and right back versatility. Woyo is meant to have this, but he barely makes a squad.

He was alright but that’s a good price for us. He was absolutely horrific in the prem last season so don’t hold out much hope for him. He was class at lb before his injury but I swear after that he never played there?

All the best. A dime of a find pre injury. Likeable guy and you could never question his effort during games.

Leaves us with a FA Cup winners medal and Championship winners medal.
