Tottenham just seem to self district, they have had so many decent coaches go in there and just blew it.

Tudor not being one of them. Horrendous appointment. Don't see him surviving this, but long may he continue! lol

Disgraceful management  of that poor goalie.

I know its Spurs but subbing a GK at 15 mins and not even talking to him or something  is horrible.

It’s an interesting one. Two of goals were entirely his fault as he was clearly flapping and slipping over. Any other position you get pulled for being that atrocious. Appreciate it looks worse for a goalie, but you can’t be that bad at your job and carry on in elite sport (Rudkin and Ward aside). Also don’t know if he’d been in the managers ear all week pointing out how cack Vicario is. It’s brutal but we’ve long called for players to be more accountable for performances and the moan when it happens.

I was watching our game so I didn't see it all live. When I was reading the text commentary it sounded like he was being unbelievably harsh.

When I watched the highlights I think I changed my mind. For a start, he was 100% correct to bring him off. The kid had absolutely collapsed under the pressure and I think he had to come off for his own good. The second slip for the third goal was just unreal. His head had gone.

As for him "ignoring him" which the BBC claimed when he was subbed off, pretty sure Tudor was busy using the pause for the sub to try and issue instructions to his players urgently which is kinda understandable given they're 3-0 down in 15 minutes.

I think Tudor is a crap manager but we've got no idea how he actually handled the player behind closed doors which is the actual important thing.

I want to say it was harsh on the Spurs keeper, but I've hoped Ward was dragged after 17 minutes plenty of times so I can't be a hypocrite I guess.

I think it was harsh. The third goal was a howler but the first was a slip which we've seen plenty of times before. The second goal was horrendous defending in front of him.

It is a bit mental that pundits one week are like "this spurs team are weak and pandered to and have no backbone"

Then the next it's "how could he do that.... why didn't you shake his hand you horrible man"

It's the fact he slipped the way he did and reacted the way he did for the third.

It looked to me like his legs and brain had just gone.

I thought it was the right thing to do to get him out of there.

I wish we'd actually normalise early subs and bin off this matcho nonsense that it's some sort of insult if a player gets taken off in the first half or if you sub off a sub.

Sometimes something just isn't working and needs changing. Waiting because of arbitrary social norms is daft.

I think the media sensationalising what's happened and putting a glaring spotlight on it all will do way more harm to the kid's confidence than the sub itself tbh.

Don’t see why not

the fella may well have sorted out his accommodation for Tuesday night in Newcastle before travelling and maybe didn’t have any bags with him. Or maybe he was prepared to hang around the town and travel back the following morning. Some people, are very relaxed about stuff like this. He doesn’t seem like the sharpest tool in the box.

arriving in London and putting ‘st James’ park’ into google maps would offer an Exeter option.  I recall once staying at a Greek hotel where the owner told me that he had spent a day in Peterborough when he wanted to go to potters bar.  That was in the days of just asking people rather than typing in destinations.

VAR waste of time again. I think they are more likely not to change a refs mind the champions league.

Probably give more penalties too like that .
