I don’t understand why our loans were sorted so late - we could have maxed out our quota by the 1st of August so weren’t scraping the barrel for Carranza.

Although I guess somebody will come along and make some excuses for the club like usual.

Guiu wouldn’t have been unrealistic if we acted early.

Had to wait for the deals out to be completed, because financially we are so screwed we can't just finance loan deals quickly

We had to wait to sack Ruud and get him to agree to have his compensation in the next financial year because we are so shockingly financial mismanaged

Let's be fair to him getting absolutely no service. Our crosses from corners and set pieces are awful. Needs to give him a run of games. Ayew just comes too deep and doesn't work the backline. It's so easy of oppositions backline. Oh for Jamie Vardy and what he brought to the team. Have no leaders on the pitch.

He's been very poor so far.

However, I'd still give him a run of games in order to come to a more reasonable assessment.

With all the deserved criticism, we rather ought to look at Patson "The Phenomenon" Daka.

Either our scouting is worse than ever, or (more likely) we're just going with the recommendations of agents and gambling on whether it'll be a hit or a miss.

If our scouts looked at Carranza and thought "he'd be ideal for us" then I'd be amazed. More likely Rudders contacts some agents telling them we need a striker and at the end of the chain we end up with this duffer.

Either way. Not a good situation.

But in all honesty the signing itself was pretty desperate. A loan on deadline day is never going to be that likely to be a hit. We've just mismanaged ourselves so badly that such a key position and weakness was given such half hearted treatment.

Bamford would completely flop here as well. The strikers are bad he wouldn't flourish here, could nearly guarantee that.

Carranza needs to be given a run of games. With our lack of options he shown enough for me to be given an extended opportunity before people can fairly start writing him off. Start him for the next 5/6 games.

I'm not sure it matters who is up front. You could have Lineker in his prime and he wouldn't score if you don't provide decent chances. A few absolute belters are propping up our season

Was he really the best we could get? Who scouted him? We just had to get someone decent in to score us a few goals, blatantly obvious for anyone except those at LCFC.

This is what you get when looking for players advertised in the Exchange & Mart.

I get why a lot of people want to give him a bit of leeway.  Christ people were calling for us to sell Vardy after the first season so to err on the side of caution isn't an overly bad thing to do.

Having said that, and even taking into account the bad service, inconsistent game time etc, i'm afraid this bloke looks crap.  So crap i'm happier to see Ayew playing up front rather than him.  It has been such a long time since we've signed a striker that has actually been decent.

How have we managed to sign a striker worse than Daka. This guy doesn’t need any more chances, he’s terrible.

Hopefully theres a clause in his contract to terminate the loan in January so we can bring someone else in.
