He's the worst of our 3 abysmal strikers. I'd genuinely send him back asap and not give him another minute. Total waste of time. He IS that bad.

Took his disallowed goal well. Didn't look offside if you watch the replay. Needs some upper body work.

Goalkeeper had seen the flag and stopped playing so even thats not a positive for him im afraid but nice try

He’s is genuinely the worst striker we have ever had. No idea if he has any ability because he just can’t be ****ed to even pretend to want it.

Behave.

Thought he was shite and ran around without a clue as to what to do, but also, our service to our strikers is in general a complete horror show. 99% of the time it’s a shite cross to the first CB to kick away or a long ranged effort.

Maybe an exaggeration,  but im struggling to remember a single striker who looked less interested and therefore think he absolutely stinks.

De Vries , Elvis Hammond

People have a blind spot for the Levein years , the genuine pits of the club

Huge risk getting player with no experience of English game when we know Daka is struggling as well. Why has the striker situations has  not been a priority more of an afterthought I don’t know. Other Championship teams look a lot stronger I can’t remember a situation like this where the manager has been rotating 3 forwards in the hope of finding a goal somewhere and nothing is working

Physically weak, borderline static out of possession, spent more time on the floor than moving for the ball. It is just like having another Daka and playing with 10 men from the kick-off. Send the passenger back to Feyenoord. 🛫

Both of them looked better than Carranza IMO, I unfortunately remember the Levein years very well.

Some of you saying stuff like he is an awful striker etc etc but I cannot even agree or disagree with you because he's gotten zero actual chances, like we have 3 different type of strikers in this team and we cannot create for either of them, that is a coaching problem, its not like Daka in the promotion season where he was missing chances, now he's getting ZERO chances to even miss. That is alarming

My immediate thoughts were of De Vries, Cort, Hammond, Wayne Clarke, Akinbiyi...

That said, I'm not at all convinced that Carranza is even a professional standard footballer. From what I've seen, it's amazing that someone like that gets a game at this level. No strength, flair, pace, touch, work-rate, finishing. If he isn't an example of an agent getting on the phone to a club that he/she knows to be desperate, and to have no meaningful recruitment network, nor any knowledge of how rubbish their client is, then I don't know what is.

An utter joke, and a depressing, predictably-useless symptom of how appallingly run this club is right now. And while I'm not baying (too much) for Cifuentes' blood when he's such a tiny part of a hulk which is so monumentally, immensely crap as the club these days, I also think that it's damning, on his part, that he'd select an obvious amateur ahead of literally anything else. A youth player. A converted winger. Anything, anyone who has a chance of succeeding would make infinitely more sense.

Seeing Carranza in the side only adds to the sneaking sensation that my worst fears are being realised. Marti is another of Top's men. And no-one with a mandate to do Top's bidding could ever conceivably be a healthy thing for the club.

He's dreadful. Just a poor poor player. To the extent I feel a little sorry for him. Pity is worse than anger. In every sense a pitiful player.

But as always, like Thomas, Ward, BdcR, Coady, ...you don't HAVE to play these players. Responsibility lies with the manager.

I'd rather play Faes up front.

I can remember Steve Walsh being used as a striker and we have Souttar coming back he has scored a few in Internationals

I take it you’re too young to remember Ade Akinbyi ?

Felt sorry for carranza today made some great movement and space but they kept bypassing him for Abdul, decent ball passed through reconned he could have possibly popped in one or two how can he score if he’s not getting the service think people on here are being hard on him !
