Alves is fine on the wing. Braybrooke as the pivot with Page & Chaplin as number 8’s.

 Couldn’t agree more really cannot understand or fathom why we aren’t playing Sammy as the 6 and Page in the more advanced role. it’s stating to feel a little like last season when Marti was playing certain players to retain market value and negotiating leverage.

nah, if that was the case we'd be seeing Mavididi and Faes in the squad. He's playing the likes of Skipp and Reid because he genuinely wants to, and honestly I think it's because of the same reason he's bought in McCarthy and Cullen despite both being utterly shit, because they're yes-men who won't challenge his Temu Rodgers nonsense

Different backgrounds ?

perhaps we have interest in mavs and Faes but the players need to accept deals that lower their wages and we don’t want to fund the gap. So we’re showing that we’re fine to leave them out. 
with skipp we would like to move him on but no one is properly interested so playing others instead of him doesn’t present a great picture of a £10m valuation. 
 

now he’ll be out for three games anyway so we should get to see sammy there but suspect it will be hamza

His forward passing was a breath of fresh air. But genuinely does Russell even want his CM to do that, or does he prefer those safe backwards and sideways passing of Skipp.

If want want to be promoted this season under no circumstances can we afford to sell him and he must be one of the main men from now on.

Had some fabulous touches at times, real incisive stuff, lost the ball quite a bit in the 2nd half too probably as he tired. Clearly the better option than Skipp.

Hopefully we can keep him but unfortunately I think this is out of the manager’s hands and will be decided by the Chief of Football and owner as to whether we cash in. 
 

if he does stay I think he will be heavily involved, just can’t see it myself as it would appear we are prepared to literally sell any of our shining lights if a remotely acceptable offer comes in, even if it means keeping more of the deadwood.
