Where would you rank John Egan and Charlie Hughes compared to our 4 CBs?

Hughes, Vestergaard, Nelson, Okoli, Faes, Egan.

Probably knock Nelson above Vestergaard if he's playing regularly for us.

Our best (still not good) performances have been against the better teams so I expect a reaction tonight. Pretty sure Hamza and Daka will be in for Ricardo and Carranza. Monga will probably get a rest as well. I'm going for a stodgy 2-1 win

For weeks I’ve just had this feeling this team is in for a bit of a spanking sooner rather than later. We’ve largely been getting away with it thanks to the lack of quality in this league.

It only takes one team to have a decent day in front of goal, and we will pay the price of our mistakes and stuttering start.

Next two games I think we’re in for a bit of a humbling, back to back defeats for me, and I can see tonight being straight forward for Hull.

3-0.

We aren’t getting spanked - this league is garbage and so are hull - I don’t think we will win either but it will be a draw or a narrow loss at worst - we are easily as good as anyone in this division and we are woeful - the whole league is woeful - we fit in perfectly

So you're suggesting that we took the lead against Wrexham and Portsmouth and then what? The manager told the players to concede a goal because are strikers are shit?

No ... I'm suggesting two things ... firstly we do not have the striking capability to finish teams off ... by going for a second or third goal .... and secondly we neither have the capability to defend a lead due to the continuous errors in defence ... thus we end up drawing ... do you think are strikers are sh1t ? ... do you think our defence is solid enough to defend a lead ? Or can you explain the number of drawn games ? ... is the team being coached to gain a lead and try to defend it ? or coached to get a lead and push on for a win ? ... 5 draws that with more attacking intensity at least 3 should have been turned into wins

Don't the stats show (BTG) that we are 'getting away with it' and are fourth bottom with respect to chances created and chances allowed? Although goals conceded is 4th best in league, chances allowed indicate this may be a false result; we are actually worse defensively than this. (See Faes for details)

Either we have to significantly improve, or the law of averages suggest, you might be right. Spanked botty time boys!

I forgot we were playing until about an hour ago and it has honestly put me in a bad mood. Wondering which striker we will try tonight and be rinsing by 11?

Looking forward to watching Daka get his 60 minutes tonight. Wonder if it'll be Ayew or Carranza who will get 30 minutes.

How exciting.

After the game on Saturday Marti was going on about how Carranza needs a run of games to get up to speed, so it would be a bit odd if he dropped him to the bench after his first start.

Tell you what:

1) Test the Keeper numerous times, gives a better chance of the ball going in the net

2) Come out to play for ALL of the 2nd half, really ALL of the match

3) Back 4 muppets DON'T make a mistake

4) Marti kick em up the arse at half time AND don't butcher the subs 2nd half

Do all of that and we might nick it

Looking forward to yet another defender letting us down tonight and Marti still picking them come the weekend.

Let’s hope it’s at least Nelson. lol

If Faes plays it will be at best a 1-1 draw. Faes will do what he does best: lose his balance and let someone easily score, lose his cool and commit a stupid foul or penalty, or some combination of both. I will be pleasantly surprised and happy to be wrong about this. Suspect our only goal comes from Jordan James or Fatawu with another wonder strike. Hull will sit back, let us have possession and look to hit us on the counter. Marti will again try to go wide, which will play into Hull's game plan and most of the game will be Jordan Ayew or Caranza dropping deep to pick up the ball, place it wide to Fatawu or Monga. It will be slow with little to no direct play. There, do we even need to watch the match now? lol
