You ultimately give yourself rope to hang yourself with if you pick these lard arses and it's shite. I know certain sections of the fan base can be critical of academy products but, ready or not, he'd get much more leeway if there was a semblance of looking towards the future.

 

Page didn't look oven-ready when he played at the start of the season by any means but he was no worse than Skipp or Soumare have been time after time, even had the brass neck to get an assist

The defence is getting a panning, and rightly so, but our midfield is non existent when we're hit on the break.  Same as the weekend. When Fatawu loses the ball for the first goal, Thomas makes a decent interception, but can't get back, but their players are running unmarked straight through to goal with the defenders just constantly backing off.

We didn't get rid of the players we needed to. That was probably because we couldn't with the contracts still running, and no-one wanting them. We'll never move forward until they go. So disappointing they aren't benched though, and youngsters given a chance, as I thought would happen. Marti must take some blame because of that.

Needs a settled team as well. Too much swapping and changing of personnel.

We’re in a real mess. Any optimism I had when Cifuentes took over has completely disappeared. The football’s flat, lifeless, and joyless. We’re a club in slow decline, and what’s worrying is rock bottom still feels along way away.
