All professional and nearly all of them are better captain material than anyone in our current squad. Huth and Wasyl could take on our entire squad on their own and win without a scratch! 8
LadyFox53 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January The Winks rehabilitation confirmed as Maresca appointed for a 2nd term well, well

Popular Post Claudio Fannieri Posted 26 January Popular Post Posted 26 January If there is any sniff of a chance Nige would come back then the club need to move heaven and earth to make it happen, he is what we need to rebuild the club 12 1
lcfcsnow Posted 26 January Posted 26 January He's not coming back especially now Whelan has gone, but even if he did he needs to be allowed to remove the problems like he did last time to then build a team. Whoever we bring in needs to do this, otherwise its the same again in less than a years time. So many of this squad needs culling, and to stop rewarding failure. 2
Jobyfox Posted 26 January Posted 26 January (edited) With this squad of sh1te I can’t imagine that any of our successful former managers would want to come back and tarnish their legacy. It’s not much of a sell at the moment. Dispirited, disjointed, squad with vital recruitment (i.e. striker)required to turn fortunes around and no money to spend. A strong motivator and character should be able to do more with the squad than Marti did, but they’re still operating with their hands tied behind their backs Edited 26 January by Jobyfox 1

VLC86 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January A lot has been spoken about on the ‘football has moved on’ front, do we really think someone who hasn’t managed a football club in 4/5 years, who had health problems etc is the right option? Pearson from 10 years ago is the person we need now, but is Pearson from now that? And even if it is, is it realistic?
Foxdiamond Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Dave Challinor. Good job at Stockport though of course still in the job 3

Les-TA-Jon Posted 26 January Posted 26 January In our current circumstances, we're never going to be able to identify, attract or appoint the 'right' manager for a huge rebuild and promotion push - so we just need someone who's willing to come in for 5 months and keep us up.
Death by Football Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Big Nige isn't coming back. It would be nice to get him in for a couple of weeks just to kick the players' arses and shove Rudkin's head down the toilet though. 3
Vowels Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Fuchs is serving his apprenticeship at Newport ahead of joining Kingy and then taking us on a League 2 tour of our own.

adam95581 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January I’ve not made it to any home games this season (live in London, 2 young kids…and we’ve been dire). But, if we were to appoint Pearson, I’d be up there for the first game, no question. It’s the easiest way to bring the fans back onside which means we obviously won’t do it 2

This is where his real skills lie, building a backroom staff of coaches, scouts, nutritionists, analysts, sports science etc. King, I think, with his direction could become a good head coach, in the shakey mould. Remember, it was under NPs encouragement at bristol that he started out on his coaching badges. someone who the players could respect for his history with the club His other strength was man management. He was a leader that people would follow. He had integrity and he didn't suffer fools. I don't think we need to look backwards though and I want him to keep his legacy intact. We need to find a younger, 2025 Nigel Pearson.
Spudulike Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Not being a betting man but does this mean that someone has actually put money on Jesse Marsch (25-1) https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leicester-city/next-permanent-manager

His real skill is putting together the backroom team and creating a culture of elitism. He can do that without going near the touchline.
