I don't think Gracia is especially good at this, but he's broadly adequate and seems to be a decent man manager. As a temporary hire you could certainly do worse. Because regardless of everything going on we are ten times the size of Watford
Mike Oxlong Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Enzo wants to come here and stay for a multi year rebuild

It needs a lot of coaching to play his way, and we don’t have the luxury of time for him to get it right. Ricardo, Vestergaard, Winks, Choudhury, Fatawu, Mavididi, Daka and Stolarczyk were all here and playing regularly under Enzo. I don't think your argument is the main issue - it's him returning in the first place.
st albans fox Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Couldn’t we get big Sam, pards and pulis to come and do food delivery adverts playing golf at seagrave and run the management side of the club whilst they’re not filming? 1

Winks and Daka have checked out, and Jakub was second choice and Hamza didnt feature much. Fatawu and Mavadidi i think would benefit from his coaching, but i think Abdul's attitude has massively regressed. Without a good striker and KDH - the team is miles off where it was. 2
markko Posted 1 February Posted 1 February A week in and nothing of any substance yet. What a surprise!

I know the quality is way worse. But the key parts that made it work are arguably still here (Winks, Riccy, Vestergaard, Mav and Fats). James could play the KDH role.
StanSP Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Tony Mowbray linked with a Blackburn return. He'll beat us on final day to keep them up and send us down... 1

I’d like to think it’s because they are being extremely thorough and making sure that they get the right person in, however it’s more than likely Rudkin is at home picking his nose whilst watching reruns of Last of the summer Wine 2

oxford blue Posted 1 February Posted 1 February 3 hours ago, Danizen said: It's going to be Javi Gracia, isn't it? If you consider the reasons he resigned this would be extremely unlikely: Gracia stated he was unhappy with the state of the team and also hinted he was unhappy with a lack of activity in the January transfer window. "I want to speak with the owner and to know how they feel because I'm really disappointed with the level of the team, the situation of the team and maybe the future of the team as well," At the same time injuries have kicked in and there have been some squad players Gracia simply didn't rate. So if we had appointed him instead of MC, he would have resigned by now as City's problems mirror those of Watford. The quality of owner and board of both clubs are on a similar level, ie perhaps marginally above inept.

You have to imagine this what Cooper was seeing during his short and shit stint in charge of us. On a side note - Brondby lost their last 3 going into the winter break, so he’s probably under a bit of pressure upon the Superliga’s resumption next weekend.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 1 February Posted 1 February It’s going to be Javi Garcia. Experienced. Free. Just left Watford. 1

Distinctly possible that Gracia might be considered, but if he resigned from Watford because of lack of support in the transfer market this January, I think he'll realise he's jumping from one sinking ship to another.

Wish we could have him back now.

You can’t have a manager trying to coach something that’s not his way. He should have be straight - I coach what I know and nothing else. Plus, he’s surely the reason we have had to endure Ayew for what will be two whole seasons! 1 1
