OK.

Why wouldn’t Dyche come here?

The question is why would he come here? Ultimately, he's still done a decent job at Forest in the circumstances so you can guarantee a PL team would be after him at some point. To drop to a club on the verge of L1 when your stock is so much higher makes no sense at all

How many managers have been sacked and take on a new job within a few weeks?

I can’t think of many.

They take their compo and put their feet up.

Agreed, Dyche ain't happening.

I do expect to see him take a Championship job in the Summer though.

I think it will be Rowett or Hasenhuttl

I think it’s part desperation, part he and his staff are local and part still believing we are an attractive project for the right guy.

Should’ve been Rowett weeks ago.

As that Blackburn journalist tweeted yesterday, there’s interest in Rowett elsewhere(Probably us) hence why he didn’t commit to them.

Knowing us, we’re probably trying to tempt 1-2 more high profile targets that are probably unrealistic, when they don’t come off, we’ll just turn to Rowett.

How do you know ANY of this 👆

I don't. The question was 'why wouldn't he come here' and I'm theorising on possible reasons why.

He doesn't want a short term deal

We could offer him 2/3 seasons with a rebuild in the summer not that bad of a propostion

Why would he sign a 2/3 year deal and risk getting stuck with us in League One?

He could quite easily include an option to walk away if relegation happened. Rescuing us from the spiral we're in is a good news story to add to a CV. There's then the option to oversee a rebuild of the club into what he would like it to be or he could take the boost in PR and move elsewhere.

I like the way people think Dyche would automatically drop to a level he’s not managed at for 10 years for only a six month contract and whatever pittance PSR could let us cobble together (given I presume we’re now paying three other managers).

He wouldn’t even be able to bring any players in. I think he’d be great for organising the defence and for Fatawu and Mavididi but would despair at not having even a semblance of a CF.

But he's got a disc beard!!!!

I honestly believe it will be Kingy till the end of the season and then 2 weeks before the season starts will look to appoint a manager. Dyche won’t come nowhere near TOP he’s worse than the clown at Forest!

Vitor Pereira to Forest is almost done.

Incredible how slow the club are - only justification would be appointing someone like Dyche who has just become available.

This is all so exhausting. They probably don't feel a need to have one in for the weekend because its "only" the cup - if they manage to get to the next league game with King still in charge then we've reached new levels.

They're not even looking to justify it! They are just incompetent

he’s probably sitting on several millions pounds severance package. He’d be foolish to get straight back into management with such toxic owners and such incompetent footballers. He’ll have himself a nice little holiday and see what offers come in during the summer.

Probably doesn't even realise the big positions near the top of the chain are still vacant.

Useless.

Doesn’t even know we’ve been demote.
