I don’t think he’s ready to pull us out of this mess, we need to bring in a foundation builder manager for him to work under, so far the 2 managers he’s worked under have been a catastrophe. 
 

Give King time as the assistant to a proper football manager, not a head coach. 

 

Nobody was expecting a massive turnaround today, but at the very least he needed to get them fired up for the game, on that we have failed once again. 
 

Bring a manager in ASAP and prime King to take over in a couple of seasons.

Anyone with a brain could see a man with no managerial experience is not what we need right now. Being a club legend doesnt make you qualified to manage a club just because you show passion. A steady eddie with EFL experience is what we need at the current time

He can’t be short of a few quid, so fair play to him for taking it on when he could have walked away. Horrendous start with Okoli’s red, and not his fault that the two ‘strikers’ we have would have missed the spot kick. 
 

Just hope he doesn’t take it long term because he will be the cheap option for the club, and it isn’t going to end well with this group of players.

I am not saying King is the answer but not sure why today shows he definitely isn’t. We were down to 10 men in literally the first 10 minutes of the game, 2nd half we came out and really gave it a go and had a great chance to get back in the game but Ayew took one of the most complacent penalties at such a critical time. 
 

As for team selection given there was no Skipp, JJ or Ramsey he was severely restricted with what he could do. Yes he could drop Ayew for Daka but lets be honest that is on par with having to choose to eat your own vomit or eat your own excrement. 
 

We desperately need 2 or 3 reinforcements but definitely thought we played with far more intensity, would have been interesting to see how the game played out had Okoli not had his brain fart or Ayew had taken responsibility and buried his spot kick rather than the half arsed effort.

Convinced Marti was stood on the touchline today wearing an Andy King shaped mask. Exactly the same dross we’ve watched week in week out. Same personnel, same formation, same set pieces, same subs. Had an opportunity today and he blew it. 
 

Will always love Kingy for what he’s done for this club but the sooner we get someone in the better

I think he has the ingredients to make a decent manager one day. Impressive pre match interview today. He's down to bare bones, needs to use the new players and generate a winning culture. Hoping he can turn this into points before a substantive manger is appointed and reverse slide into bottom three. Points deduction today seems fair. Foxes never quit.

I think he may inspire this squad into some sort of fighting backs to the wall do or die mentality. The points deduction must fire up this club. No matter what King is an absolute legend.
