He doesn't have to play 3 centre mids. Hamza is shit but a better bet than soumare.

Hamza is the best option, because he is at least aggressive and will attack the ball.

Would much prefer Hamza in the middle 3 rather than Soumare

 

If either of the wing backs are caught forward you need a centre mid to come across to cover

 

Hamza is more likely to do that

Soumare will only realise he needs to move over after the opposition have scored by coming down the wing

Should be Aluko not Silko Thomas as well

This is what I don’t understand. Thomas has never really looked like he’s good enough for first team football, let alone starting at this level.

Given the shit show we have, Id probably rather put Faes in midfield than play any of the shit midfielders we have. Faes is a decent passer, can charge forward etc. I dont like the guy but hes probably better than churning out the same failed lot.

I suspect that Hamza is the best option (or least worst) because he is not in the team atm.  Hamza, Soumare, Skipp, might aswell pick one out of a hat.  Discussing which is best is like discussing whether a migraine is better than a route canal.
