I don't know if that "Elm" (Steve Potter) is reliable or not but he was on BTG recently talking about other rumors and essentially saying his source is someone very close to Stephy Mavididi.

There are most likely multiple. Standards on the floor so who cares if the week's work gets leaked to Rob Edwards the day before.

I dont think they give a fuch about us. Mavididi came out on the weekend yawning, like he'd just woken up. What kind of message does that send to the fans and the opposition.

Not sure about wing backs at all. Our best players are wingers. I no that doesn't mean much but to only play one and then play Thomas as a left wing back seems odd. We don't have the players for the system he is trying to play.

I never said my source was Mavididi and it isn’t.

It’s also not Luke Thomas.

No, Hamza is a better option because, unlike Soumare, he has the aggression that we are so short of in our squad.  One of the few players we have who will put in a solid tackle, as well as having the speed and commitment to chase back.  So, in spite of his shortcomings, he's much the better choice than Soumare for our midfield.

 

I also agree with the poster above that, if not Hamza, Faes would be potentially a better choice as defensive midfielder for similar reasons (except that his commitment is suspect, and he might refuse to play in an unfamiliar position because of his international ambitions).

Am I missing something with Silko Thomas? I know he's come on in tricky situations but i've seen nothing to indicate he should be playing at this level let alone starting games? :dunno: 

 

No goals in 20+ appearances in league 1 last season?

Hello! Not relating to where you get your line-ups from but about an incident you mentioned between Rudkin and Marti was more what I was referring to. Either way as far as the rest of us are concerned it's all conjecture anyway!

He's being picked because he’s one of the older academy players. 
 

Just like when Enzo picked Raikhy for a few games then binned him.

You need specialist wingbacks, Luke Thomas and VK aren't even fullbacks lol forget about wingbacks.

The problem isn't the system it's the style of play

 

You can't have 3 of the back and still play safe slow possession football.

 

You can still pass it around and make it look pretty but it HAS TO BE quick and it has to make the most of counter attacks.

 

If he's literally just changed the shape but not the style, nothing will change, in fact it'll likely be even worse.

Thats exactly what Ruud did. That is also exactly what Marti will do.

 

This team has been playing safe and slow build-up posession ball for around 6 years now.

 

We just don't have the players to play any other way.
