Leave work early, drive home, rush a hi/bye to wife and kids, drive 90 mins, pay £7.50 to park, either eat crap food from outside or pay over the odds for crap food inside, be disappointed for 90 mins, get home around midnight.

Decisions, decisions...

Same here.Add a usual A14 East bound closure and a massive diversion into the mix just to help my mood.

If the leaked lineup is correct, the one silver lining is Nelson getting a runout.

In possession we have basically been building with a back three anyway with Ricardo/ Hamza tucking into midfield. However Faes and Thomas have been all over the shop either side of Vestergaard, and constantly caught out of position which has made us vulnerable to counter attacks. So the hope would be with a more solid/ rigid back three we will be better able to manage transitions. In possession I don’t think too much will actually change, Fatawu and S Thomas will hug the touchline and try and drag us up the pitch.

So don’t hate the change in system, our full backs have arguably been our Achilles heel defensively this season. Only change I would have made to the below would be to play Ricardo in CM in place of Soumaré. But hope that back 3 gets a couple of games to see if they can form a decent partnership.

                       Stolarczyk

      Nelson - Vestergaard - Okoli

                          Winks

Fatawu - James - Soumaré - S Thomas

                   Daka  -  Ayew

think we might see Ayew be just behind Daka at times, but other than that im pretty pleased with the line up

IF soumare turns up too

Yeah probably to creat that box midfield everyone bangs on about. Just hope he doesn’t slow the game down too much and drop too deep. Hope with playing 2 up top our strikers won’t look quite so isolated!

That team is absolutley horrendous. Soumare starting again with Silko Thomas and Fatawu as wing backs.. 😂. Definitely a loss so he wont have to start Nelson again

Concerning if that is the starting XI is that players such as Winks, Soumare, Silko Thomas, Ayew and Daka are starting whilst the likes of Riccy P, Mavididi and Hamza are out of the starting XI

Not a surprise with Riccy as he can’t start every game

I would probably prefer Mav (not as a wingback) and Hamza in there though

I truthfully would prefer Skipp to Soumare. :fishing:

I know this is bait, but Skipp verges into Danny Ward territory. Soumare being lazy is still better than Skipp putting 100% effort.

There's no way that lineup is real.  Purely because Nelson is in it.

That and we fired the bloke who used to leak the teams.  What is this, 2018?

So many people talking about a leaked lineup that nobody has posted, linked, or even mentioned who the guy on Twitter is.

What is the line up? Just spent 30 minutes trawling this thread and X. Never felt like a more incapable internet user in my life.

Do a guy a favour.

Soumare isn’t just lazy, he is a liability and lets his team down. At fault for the goal by being lazy at every point. Countless times he watches players under pressure and just floats away, he tries to tackle someone by running into them, they carried on forwards and he jogs away leaving it for someone else. He doesn’t look when he passes sideways and backwards, usually putting others under pressure. The amount of times he plods with the ball and gets tackled from behind is insane.  Genuinely an IQ test is needed for him.

Skipp is just shit and runs around like my dog chasing his ball.

Both should be nowhere near the team and make Hamza look reliable.

Our issues we're having is in the opposition final third, I think if we resolve that, to some extent the defense sorts itself.

I think marti needs to allow Abdul, stephy, ayew, whoever is in to roam anywhere along the front line when we're in possession, the only way Abdul shakes off his markers and confuses the opposition back line. We're too predictable and sides know if they get a goal up, we'll have no reply.

Perhaps at certain parts of the game Abdul and stephy could swap sides or abandon the wing and make runs through the middle

Exactly, but we haven't bought a DM to replace Ndidi. It goes back to recruitment.

El Khannous was supposed to be the Maddison replacement, now he's sold.

This is why the club is beyond saving until the entire board is revamped.

Someone's leaked this incorrectly to get the weird Nelson warriors hyped, and the "DO SOMETHING" Marti-Out crowd to at least acknowledge some change.

In reality it's the same team and shape but Hamza for Ricardo and Ayew for Carranza. Sniff.

They both need support but they also need to stop being greedy.  Abdul started to bring JJ into the game with those runs but he wouldn’t do it first time but after cutting inside. Then it stopped when we started playing slow from the back and the Soumare back pass killed momentum.

JJ needs to be playing next to Winks to drive with the ball.

This comes down to the tactics not just the players.  Putting Ayew in who has proven to be a bottleneck because of his style of play, or creating no runners even when the wingers have space is down to the managers tactics.

Putting Soumare in who barely attempts to drive with the ball, on the rare occasion he always passes behind the player to stink out the attack.

What we are seeing the players try to do is down to the manager and it doesn’t look good.
