Perhaps the unsavoury chants brought this forward, but the interview was filmed prior to them.

 

This is not a defence of KP as it all feels a bit too little, too late, but perhaps a rebuttal to the idea that the chants were what caused this.

It’s pretty plain to see Top is hoping enough of the people on his side will lap this up to buy himself more time. His focus on the FAB and appointment of an interim managing director, who has a completely irrelevant CV, hardly show that major change is happening at the club. 

For a start Top is just not articulate enough to be the big communicator. Ruskin or his replacement should be well enough informed and involved in all football aspects to communicate with the fans about football. I’m not saying Top doesn’t need to communicate.

Is it just me, or does this make him come out even worse. He’s basically admitted that he’s incompetent. Sounds more like someone trying to justify a speeding ticket than ****ing up a football club…..

It's not perfect but very much able to string sentences together. Definitely knows English enough to get through that interview with the club in my opinion anyway. So frustrating to see him not say anything really.

An insightful comment and you are perfectly correct I was at that event and he was a totally different person. It appears he is just not comfortable around football it’s not his thing. At the Polo it’s all very pleasant even in defeat. This was a PR failure pure amateur hour, setting, location, all the subliminal messaging is it is forced and lacks feeling.
