He’s trying finally. That’s enough for me (although I still won’t be going back to the stadium yet).

What about this said he’s trying lol

By the way, minor thing but something that speaks a lot about LCFC and its PR.

The Youtube video is title 'Khun Top EXCLUSIVE interview'

The use of the word exclusive is North Korea esque. It eludes to him being more important and that this is something rare. You can't talk about uniting people and then use language which illustrates 'master to his peasants'. While suggesting this is a a unique event when citing he's going to be more involved.

Throw in that the citing way of listening to the fans is to discuss with six selected fans on the FAB.

Never ceases to amaze me when organisations do this. What a scoop for Leicester City Football Club to land an exclusive interview with Leicester City Football Club's owner!

Enter the Mercury or the BBC... Oh.

They'll have tried many times and been told to fvck off many times.

Unless you doorstep him on a polo pony, no journalist is getting close to him.

First time we’ve heard from him properly in years. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a ‘KP forever’ happy clapper. Me and my Dad (70) gave up our season tickets this year for the first time since 1992. Hate what the club has become and feel so apathetic towards the squad and the results. Haven’t been to a game yet this season.

However, do feel what Top has done today is at least a start. Many other fans of other clubs would be pleased with such an intervention. Time for action now.

Post "interview" nothing has really changed.

The KPFC  happy clappers will continue to swoon after the B3ll3nd.

And the other fence sitting fans, foxestalk members and anyone else with more than 23 brain cells will see straight through this staged, scripted 'media puff piece' and still hold the main protagonists of our anger  from players through to the "Top" with varying levels of disdain.

“I want people to be closer and by closer I mean I’ll be nearly 6,000 miles away from the club and, hey, move that stool back a bit, you’re crowding me.”

Look, I want to withhold judgment if this is the start of more communication, but his main point is that he wants to be closer...while sat in Thailand having flown the media team out to him to conduct the interview. I get it, he now runs King Power too, where he's needed. But would surely have been cheaper to just fly himself over for a quick 'round trip, and the optics of him sat in Seagrave would have been far better.

I don't like that he mentioned that "we can't win every game". Yeah, no shit Sherlock, even the most short sighted fan doesn't expect that. It's the state of our decline and lack of competitiveness that has pissed everyone off. Our expectation as a fan base has never been to win every game.

I appreciate that he said it "may be his fault", but he kept repeating that, which doesn't exactly scream accountability either. You're a leader: Own it.

Crazy that by his own admission he hasn't spoken to the Fan Advisory Board since King Power first bought the club. I thought at least a couple of conversations would have happened in the wake of our title win even...

Sorry, bit of a moan there. Just hope this is the start of more comms and transparency rather than a flash in the pan.

The guy, and his staff, are not qualified. This will not improve. What further evidence do we need? Another relegation? More financial mismanagement? More sponsorship that is barely a front for ML? This list can go on and on.

Let's remember here, 'Top' is not Leicester, he is a business owner, who has overseen (insert another list here). His interest is in profit, and sure, if the club does well, he looks good and can bring his mates over.

That doesn't change if we bring in another owner - it's unfortunately football. If we applied the level of Tops performance to a football managerial situation, he'd have been sacked 500 times over. It's not as easy as that with ownership, clearly, but we need to pull the finger out collectively and get rid of them.

I'm sorry mate, we're all Leicester here, but surely, raise your standards a little? X  years since we heard anything, and this is what we're served with. To me it's just further evidenced their incompetence. I can't stand the bloke - no humility, no ownership of his part in this, but let's hear him speak about how hard it is for him for 13 minutes.

Well it seems like he's saying he's been distracted by life events, king power group events etc and think he's acknowledges that he's be distance from fans and the club and what's to rebuild that trust and core belief/vision his father had for the clubs. Hopefully this is a step in to becoming like his father or even growing some balls and getting rid of people who have/still took/take advantage of him and his family. Am willing to give me a chance but but think its gonna take more then getting close again to rebuild that trust with fans. Like other have said actions speak louder than words. We just have to wait and see what happens.

Not a lot of substance to that really is there. It's a start but hopefully with the upcoming interviews when he comes over to England again might see some more difficult questioning and a pressure to answer.

Hardly tough questioning

Missing the point - it's not simply about being in the Championship and I doubt there's more than a handful of fans that think of winning the PL again

I hope when he talks about communication it goes beyond the FAB.

Communication doesn't even mean hearing from Top, it's hearing from the DOF, CEO and the Communications person other than through some contrived representative group.

I was actually surprised at the critical tone of the questions, especially considering it's a club employee putting them forward.

That Top waffles and doesn't answer them meaningfully is a different matter altogether.

Starts by talking about closeness to fans 6000 miles away. I mean really.

It's all just fluff isn't it.

Wait and see what happens with the Technical Director but quite honestly this is about as trivial as you could possibly expect and it's been done badly.

When I say that the standards at the club have been reduced this is kind of what I'm alluding to - a video of largely nothing, a gradual improvement, is treated the way it is. That's how you know the decline really has kicked in.

If he wants to get the fans on side - very easy. Sack Rudkin.

(I honestly think his heart is in the right place - but not his head)

It is a lot of nothing really.

Until we see clear changes on and off the football

pitch, to me it is just words.

However, some will see this is an olive branch. Let’s see how it goes from here I guess.

I wouldn't hold your breath mate, the whole "interview' is a pile of contrived, bullsh1t.

It was designed as damage control for Tops image and to soften or reduce embarrassment.  Maybe he wants to try and reduce the amount of anti board chats that are slowly growing from the stands, again these are a source of embarrassment for him.

Empty sound bite's accepting minimal amounts of blame in 'soft area's' but blaming extenuating circumstances outside the sphere of his control as an excuse.

Take anything said not only with a pinch of salt, but a whole salt mine.

Nothing has changed for me,

He, Rudkin and the KP circus are the route cause of our problems and if they were able to fix things they should have started ages ago, and not because on televised matches and hi-lights shows the crowd can be heard chants that paint him and the club in a bad light.....

.

It’s an interview

In a controlled setting

So the narrative can be controlled

No difficult questions And likely prepared, rehearsed and pushed out to control the external image
