Really pleased for Mav & Daka and it’s 3 points that we need but another game with zero over laps from the full backs.
 

Sadly Ricardo is done.  Boring player and not as sharp. The players are happy to make one twos pissing around the middle, which they tend to lose. They don’t entertain the idea of passing to the winger and carrying on further up the pitch or into space.

 

I hate watching how boring this football is under Marti. JV is the cause for the pressure on the back, the ease at the other defenders and Winks to over play is frustrating.

I'll take the result and 3 points, But thar was a very mixed performance some good and a lot of bad.

 

It was nice to see Mav back to his best and also score.

 

Daka worked really hard and was constantly fouled. Let's hope he kickes on from his Goal.

 

We got away with it today thanks to a MOTM performance from Bergovic who's command of his Box  and top saves kept us in the lead.

He might be very average but sadly it's about the level of manager we can attract now. Not many managers could produce much with this squad.

7 pts from 9, isn’t a bad return, considering the way we are playing. Hopefully this will instil some confidence to the team and we can start to see improve performances with the results

Glad we got the points but let's not pretend that for large parts of that, we weren't average at best. Players like Thomas constantly killing off any attacking momentum as soon as they get the ball is a massive problem. Bar a couple, nobody is willing to take a man on.

good result and I hope that's the shot of confidence both Daka and Mav needed but we can't hide from the fact we tried to defend the lead from deep from the moment the second half kicked off, and if it weren't for a motm performance from Begovic, we'd be on the end of another loss. Martis tactics and game management are woeful

We are not going to go from total sh!t to total football in a few games (maybe seasons....), but every win has to help confidence.

Mav was the business today and Begovic was quite imperious at the back.

Result much better than the performance.

 

Bizarre game but will take it.

 

Major work needs doing in January and still not convinced by Marti. 
 

Begovic class, Ricardo looked about 50, rest of defence had good moments and bad. Midfield was tidy enough and JJ looked better later in the 6 (which we know). Abdul quiet, pleased for Pato and Stephy. Hoping they kick on from this.

Not the greatest game but very happy with the win. Also very happy to see the belated return of three long-lost things:

-Daka finishing touch

-Mavididi killer instinct

-a team that went in hard in challenges and showed some proper hate for their opposition

Credit to Daka, absolutely ran himself into the ground. Clearly lacks any real ability but out of the 3 strikers he should absolutely be first choice
